Barrett MRAD .300 Winchester Magnum fluted barrel in Tungsten Grey

This is the classic folder, the foundation of the US Army's new barrel swap sniper rifle

mrad-gallery-img1.jpg

The .300 Win Mag is the standard for long range rifles, and the MRAD brings you the capability of user replaceable interchangeable barrels.  The MRAD platform was the basis of the new Mk22 sniper rifle.  This is the original MRAD from where the legend began.

The Barrett MRAD rifle’s user changeable barrel system is just one example of this hardworking gun’s modularity. The precision grade barrel can be removed by simply unscrewing two bolts using a standard Torx wrench. Besides reducing maintenance and logistical burdens, This unique design paves the way for future caliber interchangeability and serviceability at the user level.

The Barrett MRAD also boasts Barrett’s new trigger module that is easily accessed for maintenance, adjustment, and replacement. This match grade trigger is drop fire proof and combat ready. The thumb operated safety can be configured for left or right hand operation. The ambidextrous magazine release can be used intuitively while retaining a firing grip and cheek weld.

The Barrett MRAD puts military sniper grade match precision shooting in the shooters hands a modest price tag, while also allowing for change-outs to longer ranger barrels, or shorter barrels, for short range practice.

Features:

  • Length of pull adjustable by push button
  • Polymer cheek piece is height adjustable from either side
  • Lightweight folding stock provides compact mobility
  • Polymer bolt guide acts as dust cover and provides smooth bolt cycling
  • Integral 20 MOA 22 inch M1913 optics rail
  • Multiple length accessory rails can be mounted at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions
  • Match grade barrels available in multiple lengths and profiles
  • High efficiency muzzle brake
  • User changeable calibers
  • Relief cut magazine well for quick reloads
  • 10 round, drop free, polymer magazine
  • Ambidextrous magazine release is accessible while maintaining firing grip
  • Oversized trigger guard for operation with gloved hands
  • Fully adjustable trigger module can be removed without tools
  • Accepts most standard M4/M16 pistol grips
  • Thumb-operated safety configurable for right/ left-handed operation
  • Sorbothane recoil pad
  • Tungsten grey color with Cerakote finish

Designed with both precision and modularity in mind, the MRAD is equally at home on the range or on duty. Its monolithic upper receiver is machined from 7000-series aluminum, including a full-length M1913 Picatinny top rail with built-in taper for long range precision.

With mounting slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, its hand guard offers a rigid, highly adaptable interface for attachment of rails, electro-optics, and other accessories. Featuring a user- changeable barrel system, the MRAD can quickly and easily be converted to one of 8 different calibers or multiple barrel lengths by simply loosening two bolts using a standard Torx wrench; no gunsmith required.

Contained within the lower receiver is a fully adjustable match-grade trigger module, allowing the user to easily set their ideal pull. The MRAD stock folds on the right side, reducing overall width for a minimal footprint and ease of transport. When extended, the stock locks securely into place, providing an interface as rigid and stable as any fixed-stock rifle.

With tool-less length of pull and cheek piece height adjustment, the MRAD is easily configured to fit shooters of all shapes and sizes. The use of ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release, left/right swappable thumb safety and AR15/M16 pistol grips makes the MRAD perfect for both right and left handed shooters. From competition to combat, the Barrett MRAD does it all.

The Tungsten Grey Cerakoted MRAD is considered by many collectors as the coup de grâce of Barrett MRAD classic fluted folders.  Barrett has moved on to produce both the military Mk22, which is also highly desirable, and a more affordable non-folding MRAD.

The MRAD has the ability to swap barrels, and barrels kits are available in the following calibers:

  • .338 Lapua Magnum
  • .300 Winchester Magnum
  • .308 Winchester
  • 6.5 Creedmoor
  • .338 Norma Magnum
  • .300 Norma Magnum
  • .300 PRC (Stainless Steel)

The MRAD rifle’s user-changeable barrel system is just one example of this hardworking gun’s modularity. Available in multiple calibers and configurations, the precision grade barrel can be removed by simply loosening two bolts using a standard Torx wrench. Besides reducing maintenance and logistical burdens, this unique design allows for user level caliber interchangeability and serviceability with the MRAD rifle’s barrel kits. The MRAD also boasts Barrett’s fully adjustable match-grade trigger module, which is user accessible. The thumb-operated safety can be configured for left or right hand operation. The ambidextrous magazine release can be used intuitively while retaining a firing grip and cheek weld. Integrated into the MRAD rifle’s 7000 series aluminum upper receiver is a 21.75 inch M1913 rail with 20 MOA taper. The upper receiver is drilled and tapped for accessory rails to be mounted at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. The MRAD stock is foldable for enhanced portability yet locks in as solid as a fixed-stock rifle, creating a rigid platform for consistent fi ring. During transport the stock folds and locks onto the bolt handle maintaining the same rifle width whether folded or extended. Made of a temperature-resistant polymer, the adjustable cheek piece also offers a consistent rifle to-user contact point. The rifle’s length of pull can be set to five different positions with the push of a single button. From its quick-detach sling mounts to the grey color that blends into any environment — every detail of the MRAD has been carefully designed to create one thing: a high-performance rifle you can truly make your own.

THIS IS A SERIALIZED FIREARM.  It must ship to a Federal Firearms License holder.  No civilian exceptions.

Buying and shipping through Charlie’s is easy, but there is some information you need to know. Only a federally licensed firearms dealer may receive a firearm or federally regulated serialized item (like a receiver or suppressor). We cannot ship these items directly to you. Please follow these steps to process your transaction:

1)     Check your state laws to make sure the federally regulated item you want to purchase is legal in your state. Your FFL dealer should be able to give you all of the necessary information regarding your state specific laws. But, if we ship to your FFL, and there is a legal issue, we cannot accept a return. So please make sure that you know and follow your local and state laws.

2)     A quick google search will show you what Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealers are in your area. When you are ready to purchase, contact the FFL dealer you would like to use and get their shipping address. During the check-out, put YOUR address in the “billing” section and the FFL DEALER’S address in the “shipping” section. If you don’t know your FFLs address, that’s okay. You can send the information later.

3)     After check out, make sure to contact your FFL dealer to ensure they will receive your shipment for you (most do this for a small fee, but you should always double check).

4)     Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL to FFL@CharliesCustomClones.com. Charlie’s does not reach to your FFL (MAKE THEM EARN THEIR FEE!!!)

5)     Be patient! In order to ensure we remain compliant with all federal laws, our compliance department is kept separate from our sales and operations team. Please allow a few days for our compliance officer to verify all of your dealer’s documents and ensure all federal laws are being observed. You should hear from our compliance department within 3-4 business days. If not, feel free to reach out for a status update.

That’s it! We try to make this process as simple as possible for our customers, but if you are unfamiliar the process or have any other questions, please visit our How to Buy a Firearm page for more details.
