Daniel Defense Lower Receivers

The Daniel Defense lower receiver is the correct baseline for two of the most widely-fielded USSOCOM rifle platforms of the last two decades: the MK18 CQBR and the URG-I. When the military specifies what goes under an MK18 upper, a Daniel Defense lower is not a preference — it is the contract. Built from 7075-T6 aluminum forgings, hard-anodized to MIL-A-8625 Type III, and machined to the tight dimensional stack required for full mil-spec interchangeability, a genuine DD lower is not a close approximation. It is the specified part.

At Charlie's Custom Clones, every Daniel Defense lower parts kit we carry is sourced directly and verified against the factory specification. The DD lower parts kit is available in two configurations: the standard safety version and the ambidextrous safety variant used on MK18 Mod 1 and URG-I builds where the MARSOC and Army SF operator population required true ambi controls. Both include the DD trigger group. Neither includes the grip — consistent with how these are fielded and how serious builders prefer to source their own correct-spec pistol grip.

The DD lower for sale on this page is the correct starting point for an MK18 or URG-I clone. Pair it with a Colt or Daniel Defense stripped lower forging for a complete, mil-correct lower assembly, then drop a clone-correct upper on top. We can help you select the right upper — our MK18 and URGI upper pages are linked below.

Every component ships from our shop in the United States. If you need help matching a lower parts kit to a specific build configuration — Block I vs. Block II, early URG-I vs. late — the spec notes on each product page document the correct fielded variant.
