If you are in the process of making an AR10 / 308AR build, why not consider the LMT upper. This has not been a part normally sold in the past, but its unique monolithic design make it ideal for a larger scope mount. Barrels can be purchased from Charlie's or direct from LMT, and then add a BCG and charging handle, and put it on an Armalite pattern lower, like KAC, LMT, LaRue and a few others.
While we are excited about the possibilities of building with this upper receiver group, keep in mind that AR10-308AR rifles are not easily interchangeable like the AR15, and will require careful planning. Perhaps you already have an LMT quad rail upper, and want to diversify. Your barrel is interchangeable, or you can choose a different barrel, and now have two rifles. Why not have an MLOK upper with a 20" stainless match barrel and a Quad rail upper in 13.5" battle rifle format? Now, we can smile with you as you explore the possibilities.
