Precision Reflex (PRI)
The PRI Gen 1 folding front sight base is the correct front sight gas block for a Mk12 Mod 0 clone build — and it comes straight from the same company that built the original Mk12 Mod 0 SPR rifles. These are factory new production. This particular Gen 1 variant uses cross-bolt set screws that do not penetrate the barrel, so no barrel flats are required during installation. Some of the earliest SPR front sight bases — 2001-era — used solid-bottom cross bolts with set screws that required flats to be cut into the barrel, which allowed a shooter to dial in windage if his rear sight windage was maxed out. The cross-bolt design here drops that requirement while keeping the clone-correct silhouette and function.
The base is solid 4140 cast steel with the gas tube provision built in as an integral part of the unit. The front post is 6061-T6 aluminum, hard-coat black anodized, and it uses a thumb wheel to dial front sight elevation up or down. The PRI top ring has evolved over the years from a fully solid ring, to a partial half-moon, to the current historical interpretation with a top circle that admits light to the front pin and a small cutout in the front — this is the current version. Fits .750" diameter M4/AR-15 barrels. Cross bolts are #10-32 x 3/4" socket head cap screws. Sight weight: 4.9 oz. Center of barrel to line of sight: 2.57". Charlie's recommends a dab of thread locker during install — blue for serviceable, red for permanent. Manufacturer P/N 05-0025-G1. Order your PRI Gen 1 Mk12 Mod 0 FSB from Charlie's today.
