Badger Ordnance Mk12 Gas Block .750" - Black Oxide
The Badger Ordnance Mk 12 SPR Gas Manifold is identical to Crane manufactured Gas Manifold for the NAVSPEC Mk 12 Mod 1 SPR, M4A1 Block 2, and Mk 18 RIS-II upper receivers. Machined from heat treated 416 Stainless and Black Oxide finished.
Note: Crane contracts have utilized Badger and Daniel Defense, as well as NAVSEA manufactured Mk12 gas blocks. These are the same fit and design. Different finishes.
Note: These are press fit with two set screws on the bottom. They are not drilled and pinned.
While Badger Ordnance maintains that both iterations function flawlessly beneath the clone-correct KAC Free Float RAS handguard, the updated, tapered lower profile is highly advantageous if you are putting the gas block under tighter, more modern slim handguards (such as Geissele rails used on Mk16 or URGI-type platforms).
When installed with the RIS-II rail for the M4A1, there is a very nice even spacing on the underside for the bottom of the Mk12 gas block.
