The Mk16 is the latest evolution in Geissele's Super Modular Rail. It is based upon the Mk14, but then adds upper tabs to lock-in the alignment between the upper receiver and the rail.
The Mk16 is the latest entry to the Geissele line up of Super Modular Rails. The new handguard design offers a smaller diameter and overall height to create a slimmer package; even slimmer than the Mk14. Included is an updated version of the proven Geissele Barrel Nut design, not only providing ease of installation but superior rigidity. The Mk16 rail is 3d precision machined using mil spec Aluminum due to its strong, rigid and lightweight properties.

M1913 picatinny rail on top and M-LOK™ slots on every quadrant ensures maximum customization for all your accessories. The Geissele SMR MK16 is precision machined using 6061-T6 Aluminum due to its strong, rigid and light properties, and is finished in durable Type-3 Hardcoat anodized. This 9.3" variant of the MK16 is perfect for operators requiring a shorter platform, or those building the 10.3" barreled CQBR URGi.
The Mk16 rail utilizes Magpul’s M-LOK technology in a full octagonal configuration, allowing the end user full customization and modularity of their rifle Mk16 Super Modular rail is finished in a durable and long lasting Type 3 Hardcoat Anodized DDC aluminum.
Geissele Mk16 rail is made to fit forged military spec receivers. Billet receivers may or may not fit, or require armorer or gunsmith adjustments.
Note: The color of the DDC has been known to vary from a golden to a greenish tone. Pictures on the Internet are hard to capture this color, and the color is different batch to batch. Be aware that when you order, Geissele's process results in a variation in colors.
