SIG Sauer's Legion series stands at the confluence of engineering brilliance and exclusivity, akin to the prestigious AMG marque in the world of luxury sports cars. The P320 AXG Legion, with its meticulous design and elite performance characteristics, isn’t just another addition to the lineup; it's a symphonic masterpiece in firearm form, resonating with the precision of a Stradivarius. Crafted for the discerning shooter, it's a pistol that promises not just a marking of status but a tangible elevation in shooting experience.
One common issue faced by many shooters is the need for a pistol that balances the raw power of rapid firing with the finesse required for precision shooting. Traditional designs often fall short, leading to unwieldy recoil and slower follow-up shots. The SIG Sauer P320 AXG Legion addresses this by harmonizing the heft and stability of an all-metal frame with a patented slide technology that mitigates recoil. The outcome is a firearm that delivers controlled rapid firing, comparable to finely tuned instruments delivering flawless notes.
The Legion series by SIG Sauer is not merely a branding exercise; it is a dedicated series that elevates firearms to an art form. It is the promise of superior craftsmanship, unparalleled performance, and an exclusive shooting experience. Every touchpoint, from the X-Series flat trigger to the custom Hogue grips, has been refined for tactile efficiency and ergonomic superiority. The result is a pistol that feels instinctive in the hand, translating the intent of the shooter into precise shots.
The saga of the SIG Sauer Legion series continues with the arrival of the P320 AXG Legion, upholding the same principles of precision engineering and proficiency. Diving deeper into its technical aspects, this optics-ready pistol embodies innovation reminiscent of the P365 Spectre Comp's slide design while showcasing advancements unique to its class.
When examining the lineage, the Scorpion AXG's influence is palpable. The P320 AXG Legion draws upon its predecessor's full-size metal frame, improving upon it with the addition of a patent-pending slide technology designed to redirect gases similarly to a compensator. This refined approach minimizes muzzle flip and reduces felt recoil, offering a shooting sensation that approaches the smoother discharge characteristics typically found in heavier-caliber firearms.
Comparing the P320 AXG Legion to its family counterpart, the P226 Legion, reveals a shared DNA that is distinctly 'Legion.' Both models convey exclusivity through their meticulous construction and user-focused enhancements. However, the P320 AXG Legion distinguishes itself through its modular design—affording greater customization potential—and the incorporation of an innovative recoil-reducing mechanism.
In contrast to earlier models, the P320 AXG Legion features a skeletonized flat trigger that is a hallmark of the X-Series. This trigger, lauded for its consistency and clean break, contributes to a refined shooting rhythm that allows for better shot-to-shot precision. By integrating the flat trigger geometry, SIG Sauer provides shooters with a uniform surface to engage with, leading to an enhanced connection between intention and action.
This performance is married to practical design choices, such as the Legion Gray finished aluminum grips that offer an improved texture for a secure, non-slip grip. Additionally, shooters will benefit from the generous 21-round capacity magazines—a significant enhancement for both competition and self-defense scenarios.
The slide, made of stainless steel, dons the subdued Legion Gray, avoiding overt tones of color while ensuring the firearm stands out in terms of quality and presence. The slide also offers intuitively-placed serrations on the front and rear, allowing for a confident grasp under various conditions, whether in competitive settings or high-stress defensive situations.
The Legion series signifies more than high-level shooting; it's an exclusive club that brings like-minded individuals together in appreciation of exceptional weaponry. The P320 AXG Legion carries this torch, highlighting its special status with the signature LEGION Gray Cerakote finish and bearing the Legion insignia as a subtle hallmark of its prestigious pedigree. Okay, it looks brown to us, but we will go with it...
The acronym AXG stands for “Alloy X Grip” and refers to SIG SAUER’s aluminum alloy grip module for P320 handguns. Some shooters prefer the weight and feel of metal-framed handguns, while some competitive shooters find a heavier frame allows for better control. SIG SAUER offers the AXG grip and handguns that come standard with an AXG grip on P320 platforms to satisfy those shooters who prefer metal over polymer frames.
Competitive and defensive shooters alike will gain an instant advantage from the P320 AXG Legion’s combination of reduced felt recoil, intuitive controls, and inherent accuracy. This is a firearm engineered for serious shooters looking to gain a split-second edge. Bring home the Sig Sauer P320 AXG Legion and experience pistol shooting at its finest.
The SIG Sauer P320 AXG Legion confirms that the marque is more than a mere aesthetic statement; it is a full suite of functional improvements marking a significant step forward in the evolution of the pistol platform. The thoughtful integration of recoil reduction, a firm grip, generous capacity, and optics readiness creates a cohesive package that aligns with both the serious competitor's and diligent defender's needs.
At Charlie's, we love Sig pistols. Sometimes it is tough to keep up with all the new models. Charlie is more of a P226 / Mk25 guy, and Mark is more of a M17 Coyote guy. They are both blown away with the Legion AXG. This is more amazing that getting blue and green to work in the same shop. LOL. Inside joke. If you know it, you know it. (credit goes to Bobby West)
This Sig Legion comes ready to accommodate a selection of the market's most sought-after optics, offering a platform that is as versatile as it is precise. Outfitted with the Pro-Series Optics Plate, it's tailored for the SIG SAUER ROMEO1Pro and ROMEO2, assuring a seamless fit for these in-house red dot sights. For those who favor alternative brands, the pistol's slide is also compatible with renowned optics such as the Leupold Deltapoint Pro and the Trijicon RMR, known for their durability and reliability in various shooting conditions.
While the pistol is optimized for these four optics, it has the potential to mount others like the Aimpoint ACRO and certain Holosun models, with the correct adapter plates. This adaptability renders the P320 AXG Legion an ideal choice for shooters who value customization and the ability to use their preferred red dot sights.

THIS IS A SERIALIZED FIREARM. It must ship to a Federal Firearms License holder. No civilian exceptions.
Buying and shipping through Charlie’s is easy, but there is some information you need to know. Only a federally licensed firearms dealer may receive a firearm or federally regulated serialized item (like a receiver or suppressor). We cannot ship these items directly to you. Please follow these steps to process your transaction:
1) Check your state laws to make sure the federally regulated item you want to purchase is legal in your state. Your FFL dealer should be able to give you all of the necessary information regarding your state specific laws. But, if we ship to your FFL, and there is a legal issue, we cannot accept a return. So please make sure that you know and follow your local and state laws.
2) A quick google search will show you what Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealers are in your area. When you are ready to purchase, contact the FFL dealer you would like to use and get their shipping address. During the check-out, put YOUR address in the “billing” section and the FFL DEALER’S address in the “shipping” section. If you don’t know your FFLs address, that’s okay. You can send the information later.
3) After check out, make sure to contact your FFL dealer to ensure they will receive your shipment for you (most do this for a small fee, but you should always double check).
4) Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL to FFL@CharliesCustomClones.com. Charlie’s does not reach to your FFL (MAKE THEM EARN THEIR FEE!!!)
5) Be patient! In order to ensure we remain compliant with all federal laws, our compliance department is kept separate from our sales and operations team. Please allow a few days for our compliance officer to verify all of your dealer’s documents and ensure all federal laws are being observed. You should hear from our compliance department within 3-4 business days. If not, feel free to reach out for a status update.
That’s it! We try to make this process as simple as possible for our customers, but if you are unfamiliar the process or have any other questions, please visit our How to Buy a Firearm page for more details.
California and New York residents please, click here. The process may be different due to state specific laws.
NOTE: The free shipping option does not apply to full rifles, unless purchased with a riflescope. If you choose free shipping at check-out, we will bill you for shipping later.
