This is the best and most amazing 1-8x low power variable optic. Nightforce has become king of the LPVO optics, and now the military DE color, this is spectacular. This optic has everything you want, if you can afford it, on your CQB rifle.
The ATACR™ 1-8x24 riflescope is designed and built to be the ultimate low-power variable riflescope. It includes pristine ED glass, bright daylight illumination, an intelligent reticle, very low-profile adjustments and bomb-proof reliability, with a field of view at 1x equivalent to open sights…but vastly more precise.
It measures just over 10 inches in length and weighs 21 ounces, with a streamlined profile. The daylight visible, center red dot allows for rapid engagements like a red-dot sight
Unlike a red-dot, however, the 1-8x provides up to 8x zoom to help locate, identify and engage targets at the maximum effective range of most rifles. The intelligent FC-DM first focal plane reticle provides precise hold and hold-off points. The low-profile turrets are capped to prevent accidental adjustment and offer true .1 Mil-Radian adjustment. To aid in fast magnification adjustments, an integrated Power Throw Lever (PTL) is included.
What does Charlie say? "If you can only buy one scope, the ATACR 1-8x is the scope. Use it as a one-eye open red dot, and then swap to 8x magnification when needed. And, we provide a combo with one of the best mounts around. What is not to like?"
The Nightforce Unimounts have proven battle worthy, and despite their lightweight profile, these mounts are built to take a beating, just like the scope it will cradle.
Charlie's gives you a choice of black or desert earth Unimounts. All mounts feature four screw top and bottom construction and 0 MOA of bias or cant, which is perfect for a closer range optic. The black is 1.50" slightly extended Unimount Titanium, and the desert earth is offered in the Ultramount 1.54" height, as well as the 1.93" assaulter height to look over night-vision illuminators in the front of the scope, and on the gun rail.

Desert Earth Unimounts are the Ultramount, which was designed and chosen by SOCOM for a number of rifle programs. The Ultramount is Nighforce's newest model, and is composed of aluminum and titanium steel bolts. The DE Ultramounts come in either a standard 1.54" height or an assaulter height of 1.93" designed to look over night-vision illuminators on the forerail. Special attention has been given to balancing weight, strength, and stiffness. The result is a mount highly suited for both bolt-action and gas operated rifles, and is available in a wide array of commercial configurations. Both are in 0 MOA cant / bias.

The black model is the XTRM Ultralight Unimount with 0 MOA and 1.50" of height, which has proven itself over years of solid service, with a slightly lower retail price. The Ultralight mount is well suited for AR type platforms where the the height is perfect for the ATACR and higher magnification scopes and the lack of cant or bias is perfect for shots up to 600 yards.
When a tough, reliable mounting system is required without adding substantial weight, the Nightforce Ultralite™ Unimount™ performs well. It features a CNC machined 7075-T6 hard anodized aluminum body and titanium beta series crossbolts and jaws.

Note on Dark Earth finish: All tan anodizing colors are both hard to portray correctly online, and can vary a bit from batch to batch. From what we have seen, the DE finish is a darker brown that Coyote or FDE and tends to have some golden and green hues. At Charlie's, we think it looks super.
