Nightforce ATACR 1-8x CQB Scope with Geissele Mount combo

The Nightforce ATACR is now the US Military's choice of variable first focal plane optics for their M4 and Close Quarter Battle Rifle platforms, and Charlie's is offering a combo deal with the Geissele Extended M4 mount.

The Nightforce ATACR 1-8x (C653)

This is the best and most amazing 1-8x close quarters combat optic.  Nightforce has moved to the top of the CQB optics.  This optic has everything you want, if you can afford it, on your CQB rifle.

The ATACR™ 1-8x24 riflescope is designed and built to be the ultimate low-power variable riflescope. It includes pristine ED glass, bright daylight illumination, an intelligent reticle, very low-profile adjustments and bomb-proof reliability, with a field of view at 1x equivalent to open sights…but vastly more precise.

It measures just over 10 inches in length and weighs 21 ounces, with a streamlined profile. The daylight visible, center red dot allows for rapid engagements like a red-dot sight

Unlike a red-dot, however, the 1-8x provides up to 8x zoom to help locate, identify and engage targets at the maximum effective range of most rifles. The intelligent FC-DM first focal plane reticle provides precise hold and hold-off points. The low-profile turrets are capped to prevent accidental adjustment and offer true .1 Mil-Radian adjustment. To aid in fast magnification adjustments, an integrated Power Throw Lever (PTL) is included.

What does Charlie say?  "If you can only buy one scope, the ATACR 1-8x is the scope.  Use it as a one-eye open red dot, and then swap to 8x magnification when needed.  And, we provide a combo with one of the best mounts around.  What is not to like?"

The Geissele AR / M4 Extended Mount

The AR-15/M4 Super Precision series of scope mounts are optimized for use with an AR-15/M4 upper. The mounting surface spans 7 Picatinny sections and utilizes 4 shear lugs. These mounts use Geissele’s update of the classic nut and bolt method for clamping the mount to the Picatinny rail, which is the most secure method of attaching your scope to your weapon. Each nut and bolt combination provides 1,400 pounds of clamping force, much more than any lever mounting arrangement.

Charlie's uses Geissele 34mm extended mount, as it nicely pairs with the ATACR.  If you would like a standard (non extended) mount, just ask.  It would be unusual, but perhaps your firearm would work better with the scope further back.

The Geissele Super Precision Mounts are made from 7075-T6 High Strength Aluminum.  To create a mount with the best possible return to zero we machine the entire mount from a single piece of billet aluminum.  This allows us to add pockets and ribs throughout the mount for added strength and rigidity. It allows us to line bore the caps to each another and then serialize the caps to the body. The line bore operation creates the best possible fit to the body of your scope so that you can apply proper torque without fear of crushing or damaging the body of your scope. Another advantage of machining from a single piece of aluminum is that we are able to create a mount with cap locations that will suit a wide variety of scopes.

Note:  Video courtesy of Nightforce Optics.  Great example of the optic mounted to a firearm.  However, the video shows a different mount, but you will get the idea.  The content of the video and the fit of the Nightforce ATACR is great.
