Dead Air logo Dead Air Sierra-5XM Suppressor for Xeno and for Keymo Mounts

Dedicated 5.56 Duty Suppressor

Dead Air's first dedicated 5.56mm suppressor is made for heavy duty use.  The Sierra-5 comes in both Xeno and Keymo mount configurations, and incorporates Stellite baffles into a Stainless Steel outer tube.  The Sierra-5 has exceptional flash suppression with dedicated front flash hider tips

This is a hard-use silencer. Dead Air has chosen heavy hard use Stellite baffles to last.   The Sierra-5 is full-auto rated with no barrel length restrictions. Love or hate the knurling, it’s function over form.

Key Features:

  • BAFFLE GEOMETRY AND DESIGNOptimized specifically for high-performance out of the 5.56 platform in sound and flash suppression, while maintaining a low blowback, short-pressure impulse.
  • STELLITE BAFFLES: Made of fancy steel alloy.  LOL.  Industry leader in super high strength and erosion resistance at high temperatures.
  • FULLY-WELDED CONSTRUCTION: Full penetration laser welding ensures a robust and solid monolithic core structure. The core is then welded to the outer tube for additional strength and durability.
  • STAINLESS KNURLED OUTER TUBE CONSTRUCTION: The outer tube is knurled to provide a strong purchase for securing and removing the silencer. It also serves extremely well at securing heat-protective wraps.
  • MODULARITY - “HUB” DESIGN: The modularity of the HUB internal1-3/8"-24TPI threads allows for adapters to easily be swapped out. This includes Xeno, KeyMo, and direct thread.  The industry has struggled a name for this:  beginning as the "Bravo" design, then "Universal," and Dead Air coined the phrase "Hub" and it seems to have stuck.  Whatever you call it, it makes the suppressor work with many different mounting options, not just those from DA.
  • FLASH HIDER FRONT CAP: Aids in excellent visual signature reduction - and included !
  • HEAVY LUG TOOL FEATURES: Allows for securely tightening and loosening adapters with included tools.
  • FRONT CAP SOCKET: It's all about interchanability:  The Sierra-5 can accept the Sandman E-Brake and all R-Series front caps. In the event of an endcap strike, you can change the cap without having to send the whole silencer in for warranty.
  • CHOICE:  Xeno or Keymo style mounting system, which one flash hider included
  • DESIGN:  the fully knurled finish is build for service and ease of installation and removal.  Simplicity, but utilitarian

From Dead Air:  "We not cutting costs or decreasing lifespan by using stainless steel baffles. We are not sacrificing durability in search of saving a few ounces."  In an off-handed way, this might be a challenge to other suppressor manufacturers who have chosen stainless baffles.

Built for professional use, the Sierra-5 offers a balance of overall sound and flash suppression while maintaining a compact footprint and minimal weight. By utilizing HUB compatible (1.375-24”) mounting adapters, it can be configured to the end user’s specific needs and is available out of the box with either our KeyMo or Xeno mounting system.

Specifications

Buying and shipping through Charlie’s is easy, but there is some information you need to know. This item must ship to FFL holder. No civilian exceptions.

       1)  Check your state laws to make sure the federally regulated item you want to purchase is legal in your state.

       2)  Find your FFL… Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL and SOT to Charlie’s (Make them earn their fee!). Not every FFL is a SOT or Class 2 / Class 3 dealer.

       3)  Be patient! You should hear from our compliance department within 3-4 business days. If not, feel free to reach out for a status update.

That’s it! We try to make this process as simple as possible for our customers. Please click the “Buying a Firearm” tab at the top of this page for more information.

THIS IS A SERIALIZED ITEM.  It must ship to a Federal Firearms License holder.  No civilian exceptions.

Buying and shipping through Charlie’s is easy, but there is some information you need to know. Only a federally licensed firearms dealer may receive a firearm or federally regulated serialized item (like a receiver or suppressor). We cannot ship these items directly to you. Please follow these steps to process your transaction:

1)     Check your state laws to make sure the federally regulated item you want to purchase is legal in your state. Your FFL dealer should be able to give you all of the necessary information regarding your state specific laws. But, if we ship to your FFL, and there is a legal issue, we cannot accept a return. So please make sure that you know and follow your local and state laws.

2)     A quick google search will show you what Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealers are in your area. When you are ready to purchase, contact the FFL dealer you would like to use and get their shipping address. During the check-out, put YOUR address in the “billing” section and the FFL DEALER’S address in the “shipping” section. If you don’t know your FFLs address, that’s okay. You can send the information later.

3)     After check out, make sure to contact your FFL dealer to ensure they will receive your shipment for you (most do this for a small fee, but you should always double check).

4)     Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL to FFL@CharliesCustomClones.com. Charlie’s does not reach to your FFL (MAKE THEM EARN THEIR FEE!!!)

5)     Be patient! In order to ensure we remain compliant with all federal laws, our compliance department is kept separate from our sales and operations team. Please allow a few days for our compliance officer to verify all of your dealer’s documents and ensure all federal laws are being observed. You should hear from our compliance department within 3-4 business days. If not, feel free to reach out for a status update.

That’s it! We try to make this process as simple as possible for our customers, but if you are unfamiliar the process or have any other questions, please visit our How to Buy a Suppressor page for more details.
