Optimized for Suppressed Fire
This is the same upper receiver as our "enhanced 6933 Commando" upper, but we stripped it down. We had a special request from a couple of law enforcement special teams who wanted to use their own suppressor and matched bolt carrier, so we have removed the flash hider, the Colt BCG and rear BUIS from our enhanced Commando upper. You get the same FBI / SOCOM barrel, just no BCG, no f/h or rear back-up sights. You do get the Colt round handguards.
The upper is all Colt, direct from the factory, with final customization in our shop - a new Colt barrel and the stripping of the upper.
We start with a Colt Commando 6933 upper, and have custom-made the upper for the Executive Protection Service. Thus, very similar to the Colt 6933 Enhanced Commando upper, but is made for suppressed fire, where the operator uses a carry handle and custom bolt carrier group (not included).
The Colt Enhanced Commando upper features the newer heavy SOCOM profile barrel (without M203 grenade launcher cutouts), known as the FBI HRT barrel, at 11.5” with a smaller gas port size of 0.70, which is optimized for suppressed fire and no sling loop. The upper comes without a flash hider, as the operator for the EPS will be attaching a threaded suppressor. Again, the upper shown here ships WITHOUT a BCG, rear BUIS, sling swivel and flash hider.

-- Colt mil-spec cage code stamped 11.5-Inch 1/7 twist 5.56 NATO chrome-lined MP tested barrel with mil-spec front sight base (FSB) without sling loop (but sling loop can be attached later, if desired). Note: comes standard with upgraded Colt heavy FBI HRT profile SOCOM barrel.
-- Accommodates the full range of 5.56mm ammunition, including the NATO M855/SS109 and U.S. M193, as well as longer-range ammo like the Mk262 Mod1 77 grain, preferred for SOCOM operations, utilizing a rifling twist of 1 turn in 7".

Please be patient when ordering. Some shop time is required in final assembly and testing. Does not ship in Colt factory box. We have a pic showing that. We used to do that, but to save space in our workshop, we use smaller boxes
