Direct Thread at 3/4-24 for precision rifles up to .338 Norma or .338 Lapua

Chaos Group Supply, or CGS is changing the way suppressors are thought of and made and used, and it is one of the largest changes in decades. The guys at Chaos Group are some of the smartest and most innovative in the suppressor field today. Not only is the design next generation, the entire production is with additive manufacturing (3D printing), so if you are looking for one of the best large bore suppressor, we think the CGS Hekate DT should be on your list. Even better, in your cart.

When we met with the folks at CGS in New Mexico, they mentioned that the Hekate is probably the best suppressor for 8.6 BLK. Interesting?

CGS is building suppressors on the Hyperion VCD Technology. Okay. Still confused. You should be. Would it surprise you to learn that this suppressor is built with 3D printing of titanium? Well, we were surprised, and yes, that is exactly what CGS is doing, and the Hyperion is one of the more amazing suppressors on the market. And, we know some great suppressors, and work with great suppressor metallurgists and engineers, and then also some great marketers. Get ready for something different, and the Hekate is at the front of different, and very, very impressive.

So what is the Hekate Suppressor? The HEKATE 338 is made for precision shooting and sniper rifles firing .338 caliber bullets, including .338 Norma Magnum and .338 Lapua Magnum, so some of the largest .338 caliber projectiles. Like other CGS suppressors, the HEKATE features dual functionality of gas flows to dial-in the optimal mix of low back pressure and maximum sound reduction and signature reduction.

The Hekate 338 incorporates the Variable Core Diameter (VCD Technology) first pioneered by the CGS Hyperion 762. This unique design allows for peak sound reduction and extreme reduction in flash signature, as well as minimal and repeatable point of impact shift. The CGS suppression system provides for the maximum possible sound suppression in the industry. This suppressor comes standard with 3/4X24 direct thread, which is the most common .338 barrel configuration.

The HEKATE is fabricated in 6AL4V (Grade 5) titanium and is an excellent precision rifle suppressor displaying incredible suppression, light weight, and a very minimal 6 o’clock vertical on/off fleet POI shift. The HEKATE 338 signature suppressor doesn’t have any barrel length restrictions. The CGS HEKATE core is made of Direct Metal Laser Sintered (DMLS – 3D printed) heat treated Grade 5 titanium. This titanium is used to significantly reduce system weight while maintaining high strength. The DMLS manufacturing process was chosen as it allows for construction with less potential points of failure, lighter construction, improved sound reduction, and increased durability. The VCD Technology increases sound performance significantly especially with supersonic ammo compared to everything else available while also not sacrificing subsonic performance to achieve supersonic performance. It excels at both without compromise.

We work with a number of great suppressor manufacturers, and this is an interesting time to watch the business and to be out there shooting suppressed. No doubt, the HEKATE will make a great addition to your safe if you are a .338 shooter. That's our thinking.

Buying and shipping through Charlie’s is easy, but there is some information you need to know. This item must ship to FFL holder. No civilian exceptions.

 1) Check your state laws to make sure the federally regulated item you want to purchase is legal in your state.

 2) Find your FFL… Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL and SOT to Charlie’s (Make them earn their fee!). Not every FFL is a SOT or Class 2 / Class 3 dealer.

3) Be patient! You should hear from our compliance department within 3-4 business days. If not, feel free to reach out for a status update.

That’s it! We try to make this process as simple as possible for our customers. Please click the “Buying a Firearm” tab at the top of this page for more information.

THIS IS A SERIALIZED ITEM.  It must ship to a Federal Firearms License holder.  No civilian exceptions.

Buying and shipping through Charlie’s is easy, but there is some information you need to know. Only a federally licensed firearms dealer may receive a firearm or federally regulated serialized item (like a receiver or suppressor). We cannot ship these items directly to you. Please follow these steps to process your transaction:

1)     Check your state laws to make sure the federally regulated item you want to purchase is legal in your state. Your FFL dealer should be able to give you all of the necessary information regarding your state specific laws. But, if we ship to your FFL, and there is a legal issue, we cannot accept a return. So please make sure that you know and follow your local and state laws.

2)     A quick google search will show you what Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealers are in your area. When you are ready to purchase, contact the FFL dealer you would like to use and get their shipping address. During the check-out, put YOUR address in the “billing” section and the FFL DEALER’S address in the “shipping” section. If you don’t know your FFLs address, that’s okay. You can send the information later.

3)     After check out, make sure to contact your FFL dealer to ensure they will receive your shipment for you (most do this for a small fee, but you should always double check).

4)     Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL to FFL@CharliesCustomClones.com. Charlie’s does not reach to your FFL (MAKE THEM EARN THEIR FEE!!!)

5)     Be patient! In order to ensure we remain compliant with all federal laws, our compliance department is kept separate from our sales and operations team. Please allow a few days for our compliance officer to verify all of your dealer’s documents and ensure all federal laws are being observed. You should hear from our compliance department within 3-4 business days. If not, feel free to reach out for a status update.

That’s it! We try to make this process as simple as possible for our customers, but if you are unfamiliar the process or have any other questions, please visit our How to Buy a Suppressor page for more details.
