One of the hardest parts of removing or installing lower parts is the bolt catch roll pin, and doing it without scratching the lower receiver. If you do not know what I am talking about, then you have never installed a lower parts kit. It is the one small part that makes you scream. So simple, but your first time you will either scratch the receiver or have a spring or a detent flying on the floor. And you know only your dog will find that spring.

The guide on this set slides into place and protects your receiver from being scratched, and also serves to catch what pops out when you remove the bolt catch. The bolt punch is made of steel and has the half flat head, needed to get in close.
