The T6Xi 2.5-15 fits in the middle magnification level, while the 50mm front lens and 12" length provide a smaller footprint, and a price point that just makes sense. Steiner's larger sibling, the 3-18x56mm fits a somewhat standard 6x zoom pattern that other manufacturers use (3-18x), but, at 56mm lens, is quite large, and serves a specialty market needing that extra light. The T6Xi 2.5-15, with a 50mm objective lens, is already larger than most mid-magnification scopes from competitive brands like Leupold and Nightforce, which are using 42mm to 44mm objective lenses. From our perspective at Charlie's, we like this scope better than the T6Xi 3-18, as it is more compact, and the price difference is large enough to push our preference to this scope. The 2.5-15x magnification is very much in-line with a number of mid-magnification scopes, that one should not get caught up in the scope being 15x power or 16x power, or 18x power, or even 20x power found on other scopes.
