The Nightforce SHV line is for "shooters, hunters, and varmiters" and is built upon the NXS body, glass, and features, with some of the mil-spec battle durability removed to provide a very affordable, yet high quality scope.

This Nightforce SHV 5-20X56 is a second focal plane MOA based scope, which is most popular with hunters and targer shooters. It is built with the same quality and reliability that you have come to expect from Nightforce. This scope features a 4X magnification range, illuminated reticle, exposed elevation turret, and capped windage turret to prevent accidental movement during travel or in the field. It also offers parallax adjustment from 25 yds to infinity and an illuminated reticle.
This SHV has a 30mm main tube, which allows for a maximum elevation adjustment range of 80 minutes, and the adjustments are quarter-minute of angle.
The MOAR reticle has been an extremely popular reticle for Nightforce for a number of years. If you are an MOA shooter, but want some of the advanced stadia found on milRAD reticles, you will fall in love with the MOAR.
The Nightforce ZeroSet feature is also standard and allows for a rapid return to zero in any condition from any distance. The exposed elevation adjustment allows quick access, and a capped windage prevents accidental adjustments during travel or in the field.
Parallax is adjustable from 25 yards to infinity, and it does so without any backlash or hesitation. Also, the external illumination dial has 12 brightness settings.
The power zoom ring allows for quick and precise magnification adjustments, and a clamp-on Power Throw Lever is available as an accessory. The fast focus eyepiece design is standard, as on every SHV model.

It features a full 80 MOA of elevation adjustment, side parallax adjustment and ZeroSet technology which allows a quick return to your initial zero setting, regardless of how many elevation adjustments you’ve made.
