USGI M4/M16 20-Round Gray Aluminum Magazine from Okay Industries

Standard USGI magazines. Manufactured by Okay Industries, SureFeed - NEW OLD STOCK

So, are you looking for a great old-school USGI metal magazine?  Okay Industries has been the name in USGI magazines for a while.

Note:  This is the last of the last of Okay Industries USGI 20 rounders.  Get them while they last.  They are no longer being manufacturered, and we are no longer getting more inventory.

Okay Industries is a trusted brand, and has been a big supplier to the LE community and shooting enthusiasts for decades. Charlie's has seen 2019 and 2020 dated and branded Okay Industries and are standard gray aluminum coating with scratches through the gray dry-lube coating, which is pretty standard for any new USGI mag.

Okay makes the original USGI mags for Colt, Sig Sauer, LMT, Rock River, and other brands. Okay made the SureFeed magazines in the civilian market, but there are two varieties of SureFeed magazines, to make it really hard on the buyer. Most SureFeed commercial magazines have a dotted texture and are very handsome in design. This is not that handsome design. This is a standard USGI magazine, and most would say that it looks like each magazine has been thrown in a bin, just to get some wear on, so expect wear, even though these come to us in sealed plastic bags.

To make matters even worse, Okay Industries stopped making magazines, perhaps late 2021.  This is true for SureFeed branded and Okay, and we are pretty sure that Colt magazines are no longer made either.

20-Round mags from Okay Industries

The aluminum magazines are preferred by soldiers in various areas of the U.S. Military. The stainless-steel spring provides proper tension and keeps rounds properly aligned for optimal function. These USGI magazines are all hardcoat anodized, and this model features a gray dry-lube finish. Okay magazines are put through a multi-step inspection and testing process to ensure they live up to the performance standards that people have come to know with Okay Industries.

Features:

  • 20-Round Aluminum AR-15 magazine
  • Hardcoat anodized with a gray finish
  • Magpul enhanced self-leveling follower
  • Mil-Spec stainless steel follower spring
  • Each magazine passes a rigorous inspection and testing process
  • 100% made in the U.S.A.
  • 2022 or earlier date stamp - no longer produced

Note:  Minimum purchase of two (2) and maximum purchase of 10 magazines.

Polymer magazines do have their benefits and space age aesthetic, aluminum mags are a classic, and still work great. One of the benefits that aluminum has over polymer is that it does not swell in extremely high or low temperatures. The aluminum feed lips are also strong enough to withstand the pressure of a fully loaded magazine over long periods of time without bending or breaking.

The history of Okay Industries goes back to WWII where they helped manufacture millions of M1 Carbine magazines for the United States Military. Fast-forward and they helped co-develop the 30-round M16 magazine and has been a preferred supplier of magazines to the U.S. government ever since. Okay now is making their widely popular AR-15 magazines available to the public with the SureFeed designs, but before SureFeed, the NHMTG was the civilian version/brand. NHMTG is Okay Industries.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q:  Has Okay Industries stopped making USGI Magazines?

A:  Yes, sometime in 2022, Okay stopped manufacturing USGI magazines.

Q:  Does Charlie's have Okay Magazines in-stock?

A:  While Okay has stopped manufacturing, Charlie's Custom Clones has a supply of "new old stock" magazines, so if you can add to your cart, your order will ship.

Q:  Another online seller told me that Charlie's is a scammer and that Okay Industries and SureFeed magazines are no longer sold. Are you a scammer?

A:  Well, you hear a lot of junk online.  One thing that Charlie's Custom Clones does is stock hard to find products, so it is not surprising that another merchant or random person online might think we cannot get the magazines.  We can, and as long as we can, we will sell Okay Magazines.  When we are out of stock, we will show that on this Page.

Q:  Will you ship magazines to states that do not allow "high capacity magazines?"

A:  We will only ship to locations where 20 round magazines are lawful.  If a Court of competent jurisdiction overturns any state or local restrictions, we will immediately resume shipping, but not until.

Q:  Why do you restrict the number I can buy?  What if I want just one?  What if I want 50?

A:  Actually, that is a great question, and has two answers.  For a minimum order, it takes a certain amount of handling time to pick, pack and ship a product, and Charlie's is not really a parts store, and we have gun guys actually doing the pick and shipping, so our costs are rather high, and it is not economical for us to send you one magazine.  Besides, who wants just one?  As to why stop at 10.  That reason is that the supply of USGI aluminum mags is so limited, that we want more people to have that opportunity to have some before our supply runs out.

Q:  Is Surefeed and Okay Industries the same product?

A:  SureFeed is a brand name of Okay Industries.  Okay makes several magazines.  Some are OEM for Colt and other companies.  Some are branded SureFeed, some are branded Okay Industries, etc.  These magazines are not the textured SureFeed, but the USGI style, just like a Colt magazine.

Q:  Is Okay Industries out of business?

A:  As best we can tell, Okay Industries is still in business, but has stopped production of AR style magazines.

Q:  Are the SureFeed Okay Industries USGI magazines in-stock, or am I going to wait on back order for something that will never come?

A:  I am writing this in May of 2023.  Charlie's Custom Clones has an adequate supply of SureFeed Okay Industries USGI magazines.  That will change.  We will keep selling until we sell out.  If you can add to cart, you will not have a problem at this point.

Q:  How many magazines can I purchase?

A:  We have put a limit on each purchase, so that others will have an opportunity to buy Okay mags before we run out. At the time of writing, there is a maximum of 10 magazines.  That is subject to change.
