Maxim Pistol Buffer Housing Gen 7 PDW - for brace removal and pistol use

Yeah, that thingy you need to replace the brace hardware

Convert your PDW braced pistol into an un-braced pistol.  Are you confused yet?  Let me tell you what.  It is easy to get confused with Maxim stocks and buffers and braces.  Sorry, Maxim, but in providing so many selections, you created an alphabet soup of PDW, SCW, PDX, MDX, Gen 6, Gen 7.  Yes, you can scream now, but let us help you.

Let's say you purchased a Daniel Defense PDW .300 BLK pistol with a brace.  Yes, this is for that.  Maybe you purchased a Maxim pistol with a collapsible brace.  If it uses a standard AR15 bolt carrier and a standard AR15 lower receiver.  Yes, this also works on that.  If you purchased a Maxim part that needs a special bolt carrier, no, this is not for you.

Now, how does this all work?  You pretty much remove the existing hardware from your lower, with the collapsible brace and the adapter that sits at the end of your lower receiver, and replace that adapter with this housing, and then put the buffer tube and spring and weight back in, and you are done.  Now, you have a good-looking pistol without a brace.

Now, what if you do not have Maxim anything, but want a solid pistol buffer.  That is not this.  You will want the kit with this part and the buffer, and perhaps the spring and buffer.

On the other hand, you might want the collapsible stock to replace the brace and you are building an SBR, and filing your Form 1.  You will not want this.  You will want the collapsible stock part.

Pretty straight forward, but pretty confusing to get there.
