Built to the same exacting standards as the scopes chosen by SOCOM, the Leupold Mark 5HD provides discerning shooters a lightweight and durable optic for any precision shooting need. The 3.8-18X44 variant has been picked for the M110 SASS while the 5-25X56 has been selected for the M22 Mod 0 sniper rifle. There is also a 7-35X56 model available for extreme long range use. All variants are available in a selection of different reticles, both illuminated and non-illuminated.
Coming in over a pound lighter than competing scopes, the Mark 5HD 5-25X56 is a versatile, high performance optic. With its 5X magnification range and ample field of view, this optic is capable of clearing courses and topping podiums. Excellent light transmission and image clarity come from high quality glass and Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System. The 35mm main tube gives the erector system plenty of space for the adjustments that demanding long range competitions require. A locking elevation turret features tactile clicks and a revolution indicator, while an included power throw lever makes magnification changes smooth and fast. Like all Leupold scopes, the Mark 5HD is manufactured in America. They are waterproof, fogproof, shockproof, and guaranteed for life.
This version is first focal plane and has a MIL-based TMR (Mk) reticle to give the shooter plenty of open space to the reticle for a less cluttered view.

Built around Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System, the Mark 5HD offers superior light transmission that’s designed to outperform in the most challenging lighting conditions. The lens coatings provide glare reduction to produce a clear image in harsh, direct light, while the resolution and clarity will meet the demands of any professional guide or shooter. The Leupold Mark 5HD 5-25x scope is ergonomically designed with more tactile and audible click adjustments, larger numbers, and a high-speed throw lever
Leupold’s Twilight Max HD light management system provides the shooter with better images in low-light conditions, which is great for tactical and hunting use. The Mark 5HD provides more contrast and edge-to-edge clarity. The M5C3 ZeroLock turrets allow for windage and elevation to be adjusted in 0.1-mil increments with visible and tactile indicators.
Parallax focus is a side knob that is easy to use, and the scope tracks predictably with a precise return to zero. The 5:1 zoom ratio allows a good balance. Less and the shooter feels lacking. More, and the engineering starts to get difficult to maintain image quality without a large cost increase. The eyepiece is adjusted with a simple turn, while power adjustments are fast using the integrated throw lever. While initially an oddity, 35mm rings and mounts are now widely available for both AR and standard bolt rifle configurations. A lens shade and covers are included.
