Yes, sometimes it is the little things, but where Haley Strategic Partners sees a gap for the tactical operator, HSP fills the gap.  The Thorntail X is minimalist and stays out of the way, but allows the shooter to quickly attach a QD push-button sling into the front of the rifle, attached to the Picatinny 1913 rail.

The Thorntail X 1913 QD Sling Mount gives the tactical operator options on where to mount a sling point providing a 45 degree offset for a lower profile, ambidextrous, snag resistant, anti-rotational, QD Swivel Socket attachment point. The 1913 QD Sling Mount is ideal for two-point slings and accepts all standard QD Sling Swivels or can be used as an attachment point for other types of sling hardware (HK Hooks, ULoop, Paracord, etc.).

Built for strength, Thorntail X mounts are machined from 7075-T6 Aluminum and MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodized, resulting in a mount that exhibits nearly twice the tensile strength of competing light mounts using industry standard 6061-T6 Aluminum.
