Geissele Automatics' Super Duty Mod 1 in an 11.5" short-barreled rifle (SBR) configuration is a nice presentation of original engineering and performance. Featuring a Nanoweapon-coated HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD and the seamlessly integrated Mk16 rail and upper receiver, this SBR is a continuation in the long line of Super Duty weapons produced by Geissele.
At the heart of the SBR lies the Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group (REBCG) coated with Geissele's proprietary Nanoweapon DLC coating, offering exceptional corrosion resistance and operational reliability. The exclusive forged Carpenter 158+ Bolt undergoes rigorous high-pressure and magnetic particle inspection, ensuring unparalleled strength and fatigue resistance.
The 11.5" cold hammer-forged (CHF) chrome-lined barrel, with a 1:7 twist rate, is designed to stabilize long, heavy bullets like the 77-grain HPBT used in rounds such as the Mk262 Mod 1. This barrel is made in-house by Geissele, and undergoes rigorous testing for enhanced durability.
The HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD 5.56 suppressor mount ensures compatibility with popular Flow-Through silencers from HUXWRX. The SSA-X Trigger with Lightning Bow offers a crisp, precise trigger pull for unmatched shot placement.
The 10.5" MK16 Center Tab M-LOK Handguard provides a robust platform for accessory attachment, and the Anti-Strike Super Compact Gas Block ensures optimal gas flow for reliable cycling. The Airborne Charging Handle, milled from 7075 aluminum and hardcoat anodized, is ambidextrous, textured for a sure grip, and designed with a low profile to prevent snagging on gear.
Geissele's attention to detail extends to the steel QD Socket Inserts, which are stronger than aluminum alone, ensuring reliable weapon retention. The carbine-length gas system is perfectly matched to the 11.5" barrel, and the Super Compact Gas Block is installed at the factory with redundant lower set screws and a cross-pin for added security.

As an NFA item, this Geissele Super Duty Mod 1 SBR requires additional registration with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) before transfer and possession.
