Geissele's flagship model, the Super Duty Mod 1 in an 11.5" pistol with the exciting new HUXWRX closed tined flash hider is a both a fine weapon, and finely crafted. Geissele has been working to perfect its initial offering, and the Super Duty Mod 1 with the 1:7 chrome-lined, cold hammer forged barrel is a crowd pleaser. It features an enhanced BCG, a dovetailed MK16 M-LOK rail, and a bomb proof pinned low profile gas block. A lot of thought and engineering has gone into this pistol, and it shows.
Geissele barrels are precision machined, chrome-lined, and cold hammer forged. The carbine length gas system is perfect for the 11.5" barrel, and includes a Geissele Super Compact Gas Block installed at the factory with both lower set screws and cross pin. This is something Geissele has been doing since 2018. Is it necessary? No, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. With a 1:7 twist this barrel can stabilize current long, low drag projectiles such as the ubiquitous 77 grain Sierra Match King.
The newly designed 10.5” Super Modular Rail MK16 mates to the upper via a center aligning tab removing any chance of rail rotation. This rail is a variant of the 13.5” SMR MK16, currently fielded by USASOC, and one of Geissele's best sellers and best ideas. At Charlie's, we like the way in which the upper mates to the rail, which also is a crutch to better align the rail and upper receiver. That is a good thing.
Geissele Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group
The Reliability Enhanced BCG is DLC coated in what Geissele calls "Nanocoating" and is machined from mil-spec 8620 steel, with a properly torqued and staked, chrome lined gas key. The REBCG also features extended upper rails, providing greater stability and dramatically increasing feeding reliability. The REBCG has a properly torqued and staked, chrome-lined gas key. The REBCG is Nanoweapon coated, and requires less oil. The Cam Pin is machined from advanced, medical steel known as H13 which is also coated with Nanoweapon for maximum corrosion and wear resistance.
The Geissele Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group comes with the Geissele Stressproof Bolt. Made from Carpenter 158+, directly developed with Carpenter Steel metallurgists to create a material that is cleaner and has less impurities. This makes the Stressproof bolt stronger and more fatigue resistant. The Geissele Stressproof bolt is also forged, not machined from barstock. This optimizes the grain structure of the steel to yield a bolt capable of 5 times the life of a mil-spec bolt. Each bolt is rigorously inspected, high pressure tested, mag particle inspected and Nanoweapon coated.
The Geissele Super Duty ships with a HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD 556 which also serves to accept HUXWRX silencers.
The Super Duty upper also includes the Airborne Charging Handle. The Mk16 SMR rail is unique to this upper, as it has the dovetail fit to the upper. This is not a standard Geissele Mk16 rail, nor is the upper a standard Geissele upper. The two are meant to be used as one system.
The trigger is unique. Geissele has inserted a great Geissele trigger. Borrowing from the fully automatic, SSF, Geissele offers the SSF -X in semi-automatic, with flat bow and a DLC like coating, along with the BCG, that Geissele calls "Nanocoating." A fancy name for a diamond like coating that serves to lubricate and resist corrosion. Geissele has invested quite a bit of time in bringing their Nanocoating to market, and like all things Geissele, there is great quality and a little bit of marketing going on here.
The Super Duty lower is precision machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and features Geissele’s Ultra Duty Lower Parts Kit featuring our Ambidextrous Super Configurable safety and Ultra Precision trigger guard. A high quality mil-spec Geissele Buffer Tube with a Super-42 in H3 buffer ensures this rifle is properly tuned out of the box.

Note on tan colors and Geissele DDC: First, you should know that getting the color correct for the Internet is hard. Every tan rifle will show differently in different lighting. This rifle is DDC, and if you know Geissele, you know that not all aluminum anodize looks the same. The various parts of the rifle will come with varying hues of tan, FDE, olive, and desert dirt. We do not accept returns for color differences, or at least not without a restocking fee and shipping. Make sure you love it before you take it home from your local firearms dealer. And, if you must return, know that the risk of liking the color is yours.
Buying and shipping through Charlie’s is easy, but there is some information you need to know. This item must ship to FFL holder. No civilian exceptions.
1) Check your state laws to make sure the federally regulated item you want to purchase is legal in your state.
2) Find your FFL… Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL to Charlie’s (Make them earn their fee!!!)
