The Dead Air Odessa-9 is a completely modular pistol suppressor, allowing the shooter to fully customize the length to a specific need. 11 different configurations allow the user to find their perfect balance between length and dB reduction. With just 4 baffles and subsonic ammunition, the Odessa-9 is just below hearing safe. In this configuration, it is close to the Dead Air Mask in overall size.
Coming in at just 1.1" in diameter, the Odessa-9 also allows for a clear sight picture without the need to alter the factory sights on a pistol. The Odessa-9 is compatible with both SilencerCo and Rugged pistons.

Very Thin Tube
The Odessa-9 features a 1.1″ tube, allowing you to fully utilize your stock sights. That’s right, the Odessa-9 is almost as small as our Mask. This is a very skinny tube, so no special sights needed.
Modular to switch from short to long
It is also fully modular and can be shot in multiple configurations. 11 to be exact (well, 12 if you don’t use ANY baffles). 11 baffles makes for a very long quiet can. Most will like it around 7 baffles. A wet gel at 7 baffles seems to be about where most people like the length, look, feel and sound.,
If you stack only four baffles you’ll be close to, or below, hearing safe levels with subsonic ammunition. Stack on the full 11 baffles and we’ve hovered just shy of 122dB with HUSH subsonic ammo. With the smaller tube and this much modularity, your suppressed handgun life just got easier.
The Odessa-9 is compatible with legacy pistons such as those from Silencerco and Rugged Suppressors.

“Internal volume is a determinant of a suppressor’s noise reduction, and Dead Air’s engineers compensated for this loss of space over conventional-diameter suppressors in a few key areas. Dual O-rings surround the piston to capture gas leakage in this main area, while the bore diameter of each clipped-cone baffle is tighter and closer to the muzzle. The design is tubeless to conserve volume and the Odessa-9’s maximum length is 8.6 inches—slightly longer than comparably effective, 1.375-inch-diameter units.”

2) Find your FFL… Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL and SOT to Charlie’s (Make them earn their fee!). Not every FFL is a SOT or Class 2 / Class 3 dealer.

Buying and shipping through Charlie’s is easy, but there is some information you need to know. Only a federally licensed firearms dealer may receive a firearm or federally regulated serialized item (like a receiver or suppressor). We cannot ship these items directly to you. Please follow these steps to process your transaction:
1) Check your state laws to make sure the federally regulated item you want to purchase is legal in your state. Your FFL dealer should be able to give you all of the necessary information regarding your state specific laws. But, if we ship to your FFL, and there is a legal issue, we cannot accept a return. So please make sure that you know and follow your local and state laws.
2) A quick google search will show you what Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealers are in your area. When you are ready to purchase, contact the FFL dealer you would like to use and get their shipping address. During the check-out, put YOUR address in the “billing” section and the FFL DEALER’S address in the “shipping” section. If you don’t know your FFLs address, that’s okay. You can send the information later.
3) After check out, make sure to contact your FFL dealer to ensure they will receive your shipment for you (most do this for a small fee, but you should always double check).
4) Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL to FFL@CharliesCustomClones.com. Charlie’s does not reach to your FFL (MAKE THEM EARN THEIR FEE!!!)
5) Be patient! In order to ensure we remain compliant with all federal laws, our compliance department is kept separate from our sales and operations team. Please allow a few days for our compliance officer to verify all of your dealer’s documents and ensure all federal laws are being observed. You should hear from our compliance department within 3-4 business days. If not, feel free to reach out for a status update.
