The ambidextrous DD4 RIII AR15 style rifle is designed to satisfy the needs of both right- and left-handed shooters in popular shooting sports and for tactical and defensive applications. Its fully ambidextrous lower allows a shooter to operate the bolt catch, safety selector, and magazine release without having to move or remove their dominant hand from the rifle’s grip, while its GRIP-N-RIP Charging Handle is fully ambidextrous as well. A 10.5 inch lightweight RIS III rail—modeled after the revolutionary RIS II two-piece handguard developed for SOCOM—features M-LOK attachment for lighter weight, and a refreshing modern look. So, how is this rifle different from the Mk18, Mod3, also known as the Block 2 CQBR, URGI? There are a number of similarities. The next generation of Mk18 also features an 11.5" barrel. The 11.5" barrel has come to be known as very forgiving in which ammo it is fed, and a very smooth shooting rifle. The Mk18 now features a Geissele Mk16 rail, which is M-LOK and similar the RIS-II rail. Both are very good shooting rifles. The Mk18 is designed to be shot suppressed, while the RIII-S has the option, and with the flash hider not being pinned to the barrel, it can be removed and a different muzzle device attached. You may have found us by looking for Daniel Defense rifles or the new RIII SBR or parts, and that is awesome. Charlie's specializes in military correct rifles for shooting enthusiasts, as well as for military and law enforcement. We are a small business based in Virginia, and our Potomac Armory is a licensed firearms manufacturer and registered DOD contractor and law enforcement dealer. In a few short years, our consumer brand, Charlie's Custom Clones has grown to be the leading brand for shooting enthusiasts who are looking to increase their proficiency and their armament collection with military rifles and the hobby of clone building, which is just another way of saying that our customers want to buy or build a military correct rifle, largely as collectors, but also as active operators. The word, "Clone" in our name scares people that think we have fake products. We do not. Nothing can be further from the truth, as to have a clone rifle is to have as exact a copy of an actual military issued weapon as a civilian possibly can have.
In addition to great combat rifles, we carry a large selection of both military correct suppressors, and popular commercial suppressors. We are a Daniel Defense dealer and Potomac Armory is an OEM manufacturer. Charlie's directly resells DD manufactured parts, uppers, barrels rails, and full rifles. We are proud to carry the Daniel product line, and DD has a fantastic reputation as one of the quality AR style manufacturers, with a military style. Potomac Armory uses the barrels and rails to build military correct clone uppers and rifles. CCC curates our offering of DD products, to fit our customer lifestyle, but if you are looking for something from DD that we do not carry, let us know. 2) Find your FFL… Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL to Charlie’s (Make them earn their fee!!!)
3) Be patient! You should hear from our compliance department within 3-4 business days. If not, feel free to reach out for a status update.

THIS IS A SERIALIZED FIREARM. It must ship to a Federal Firearms License holder. No civilian exceptions.
Buying and shipping through Charlie’s is easy, but there is some information you need to know. Only a federally licensed firearms dealer may receive a firearm or federally regulated serialized item (like a receiver or suppressor). We cannot ship these items directly to you. Please follow these steps to process your transaction:
1) Check your state laws to make sure the federally regulated item you want to purchase is legal in your state. Your FFL dealer should be able to give you all of the necessary information regarding your state specific laws. But, if we ship to your FFL, and there is a legal issue, we cannot accept a return. So please make sure that you know and follow your local and state laws.
2) A quick google search will show you what Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealers are in your area. When you are ready to purchase, contact the FFL dealer you would like to use and get their shipping address. During the check-out, put YOUR address in the “billing” section and the FFL DEALER’S address in the “shipping” section. If you don’t know your FFLs address, that’s okay. You can send the information later.
3) After check out, make sure to contact your FFL dealer to ensure they will receive your shipment for you (most do this for a small fee, but you should always double check).
4) Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL to FFL@CharliesCustomClones.com. Charlie’s does not reach to your FFL (MAKE THEM EARN THEIR FEE!!!)
5) Be patient! In order to ensure we remain compliant with all federal laws, our compliance department is kept separate from our sales and operations team. Please allow a few days for our compliance officer to verify all of your dealer’s documents and ensure all federal laws are being observed. You should hear from our compliance department within 3-4 business days. If not, feel free to reach out for a status update.
