This is not the normal type of part we offer at Charlie's, but have received a number of requests. This is a take-off from a new factory upper receiver group or rifle, so it has been test fired at the factory, but otherwise new. The Colt low profile gas block essentially starts life as a full-sized A-frame A2 front sight post, and the sight part is ground off or shaved down to create this unique part.
While basic, it is probably the best LPGB on the block. It is pined into the barrel, and to do this by the book, the gas block should be virgin (not drilled), and then mated to a new virgin barrel. This one has been removed from a barrel, which makes it delicate to install.
We recommend you use a gunsmith to install, as the drilling and reaming must be exact, and you need to keep the top at 12:00 dead center to match the gas tube hole. Also, the hole is tapered to match the taper pins (included) and is not a straight drill hole. YOU MUST USE A VIRGIN BARREL, and not one which has taper pin holes drilled.
