While Low Power Variable Optics, LVPOs, have rapidly become a staple in the industry, many shooters have ignored the cross-over potential of the classic medium powered compact optic. A difficulty avoided but starting above 1X is the frequent compromise of the higher end. By building on the midsized platform, Athlon brings a course clearing DMR scope to the table. It's 6X zoom range makes it capable of closer engagements while the 12X top end brings farther targets into clear focus. The Helos BTR Gen2 features one piece aluminum tube construction, fully multi-coated lenses with an anti scratch and dirt coating for durability. The exposed turrets lock to eliminate the worry of accidental adjustments. The MOA based first focal plane reticle is etched into the glass, not tied to a specific load, and scales for magnification. Illumination keeps shooters engaged in a variety of lighting conditions. Despite its light weight, the Helos is waterproof, shockproof, and fog proof.
