The AAC Blackout Flash Hider is an extremely efficient design that effectively eliminates muzzle flash, even on short barrels

The proprietary features eliminate muzzle flash, even on CQB-length barrels. The BLACKOUT® is inherently stronger and more impact resistant than four prong designs, while not being subject to the rapid erosion of closed-ended units. A high strength corrosion-resistant aerospace alloy, and ultra-hard Nitride finish provide the highest level of durability. Military tested and selected. This is the non-mount version for use without a silencer, in 5.56mm threaded 1/2x28tpi.

All Blackout flash suppressors are machined from high strength aerospace stainless steel alloy and coated in a hard, durable, corrosion resistant SCARmor finish. This is the non suppressor mount version with no provision for mounting a silencer. Torque wrench is need for installation - approximately 20-30ft.-lbs. Crush washer not included.

At 2.25" long, this flash hider will easliy fit a 14.5" barrel to be pinned and welded, should you so choose, to reach a legal length of 16.6".
