The FN FNX-45 traces directly to the FNP-45 Tactical that FN Herstal offered into the US SOCOM Joint Combat Pistol Competition in the mid-2000s — a DA/SA .45 ACP duty pistol built with a polymer frame, stainless steel slide, and an externally-threaded barrel for a suppressor. When SOCOM selected a different program pistol, FN rolled the platform forward into the commercial FNX-45 and FNX-45 Tactical. The 15-round stainless magazine in this listing is the standard-capacity mag for both. It is commonly seen as the range/duty mag customers ask for when they want spares that are known to feed the pistol the way FN built it to feed.

FDE baseplates match the FDE-frame FNX-45 Tactical and look at home under a Black Tactical or Stainless variant when a factory spare is what the builder is after. The magazine body is uncoated stainless — light surface marks from handling or bag-carry are normal on new-production mags and do not affect feeding.
