Daniel Defense
Nowhere else, but at Charlie's does the Daniel Defense Mk18 Upper Receiver clone 10.3" URG get the respect it deserves. Daniel Defense has held true to the design of the Mk18 rail, the 9-1/2" RIS rail, in FDE, which was the original Mk18 rail. Daniel Defense now provides us with a reasonable representation of the original Mk18 upper, with a few commercial licenses, that allow Daniel Defense and Charlie's Custom Clones to offer this Mk18 upper at a reasonable price, and you add the charging handle and BCG of your choice.
The Daniel Defense MK18 Complete AR-15 Upper Assembly is a faithful recreation of the US Navy's Mk18 Mod 1 platform, and features a Premium 10.3" Cold Hammer Forged Barrel made from Mil-Spec 4150 Chrome-Moly Vanadium Steel; Chrome Lined for durability and corrosion resistance. M4 feed ramps are incorporated into the barrel extension and upper to enhance reliable feeding, while a true 5.56mm NATO chamber ensures that both commercial and higher pressure surplus mil-spec ammunition may be safely used.
The upper receiver is made by Daniel Defense with solid forged aluminum and Type III Hard Coat Anodized.

The RIS II provides ample room for adding tactical accessories, while also creating a full length, uninterrupted top rail surface with the A4 Flat-Top receiver that can accommodate a shooter's chosen optic and/or iron sight arrangement. Complete with Daniel Defense Flash Hider, the MK18 upper is ready to drop onto any pistol or registered SBR small pin lower receiver, after you add your M16 or AR15 bolt carrier group and charging handle
This item is custom configured by Charlie's from 100% factory parts. Normally, Daniel Defense will send an uppper receiver with barrel and rail configured. We have found that many customers like to customize thier upper, or do not like the factory "billboard" markings that Daniel Defense ships with their factory Mk18, so this gives you options. We also give options to fit different budgets. As such, this product does not ship in a Daniel Defense factory box. We offer the factory configuration, see the next paragraph.
Charlie's also offers what is often called the "billboard' Mk18 upper receiver group. This is the factory Mk18 receiver with the Mk18 RIS rail. It is a little more commercal. Some like it. The Mk18 Daniel Defense FDE Factory Upper Receiver Group

Note on upper receiver builds: As you can imagine, at Charlie's, we get all sorts of configuratons from our manufacturing partners. For this upper, we usually get a complete upper from Daniel Defense, and work around the trimmings. Often times, we get the complete receiver group assembled by DD. Occasionally we get raw parts and build from there. What you get, however is a complete DD Mk18 upper receiver group, but without the box. We strip the fancy stuff we get as it takes up a lot of space, and we bring to you a complete factory sourced upper receiver group. Not that it matters, but most of the time, the upper is assembled by DD, and occaisionaly final assembly is done by Charlies. In all cases you are getting 100% factory components. As Charlie's tests all final assembly, we like to think you are getting the best of both worlds.
Note: This upper receiver groups ships with no bolt carrier group, and no charging handle. Some pictures show the full upper receiver group with the charging handle, but this product contains no charging handle or BCG.

Please feel free to ask questions before you buy.
All NFA laws apply. You need to make sure you can own it, in the configuration in which you attach to a lower receiver. This can be a pistol or a rifle, when assembled. If assembled as a rifle, it will be short barreled rifle, and subject to NFA laws. Owning the upper and a rifle lower could also be considered an NFA item. If you are uncertain if you can own this, check federal National Firearms Act, also with your state authorities.
Note: All ITAR regulations apply. Charlie's deals in the real McCoy. Your item most likely has parts that cannot be shipped outside of the USA, or owned in the USA by non-US Persons. You take accountability to safeguard parts and the entire upper, and get necessary approvals to transport outside of the USA.
