Colt M16 A4 upper receiver group - complete 20"

factory new, M16A4 with carry handle, KAC M5 military Picatinny rail and Colt "C" stamped 20" barrel, includes BCG and charging handle

The Colt M16A4 Barreled Upper Assembly is used on current issue M16A4 model rifles and includes the US Military spec Knights Armament M5 RAS.  The barrel is Colt's new old stock "C" stamped 20" chrome lined M16 barrel with an A2 front sight post ("F" height) and A2 flash hider  This is a new upper receiver group, taken off a full Colt rifle.  Ships in military grade plastic with Colt oil on the barrel and receiver and BCG, in non-factory box.  100% all Colt, factory assembled, except for the Knights M5 RAS, which was installed by Charlie's.

This is all new equipment.  The "new old stock" is because of the "C" stamped barrel.  Current production Colt barrels have a CAGE code.  This is a factory upper, with the exception of the addition of the Picatinny rail.

  • Factory Colt product, with modification by Charlie's Custom Clones, in black (not real old fashioned gray)
  • Colt 20 Inch 1/7 twist Mil-Spec chrome lined MP tested barrel with 0.75" gas port journal
  • 4140 phosphate coated steel barrel, military spec, rifle profiling
  • "C" stamped new old stock barrel with MP testing and twist and chambering on the barrel (1:7, 5.56 NATO)
  • Knights Armament M5 RAS, as is standard issue with modern M16 military rifles, with three long 11 rib rail covers, installed at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock.
  • Colt Flat top receiver with engraved and painted T markings, either Cerro forged (keyhole) or Brass Aluminum forged (square mark) and US Department of Defense CAGE Code engraving
  • Hard Coat Anodized receiver with interior dry lube, per military spec
  • Colt detachable carry handle, factory installed.
  • Caliber - 5.56mm
  • Colt bolt carrier group (Colt Bolts and Carriers will have various markings.  Often times the bolt is marked "MPC", but sometimes it is very faint.  Sometimes you will notice a white dot with some sort of paint, which is characteristic of very old and also very new bolts.  It is a proof mark.  The carrier will usually, but not always have a "C" mark, and again, it is sometimes faint, and sometimes not there)
  • Colt charging handle

No vertical grip is included.  You can add a KAC vertical grip here, if you wish.  If we are out of stock, as one of Charlie's sales team (either by chat, by phone or email -- see Contact Us), we usually reserve a few for customers buying complete uppers or rifles.

Note:  This is a take-off from a full Colt factory rifle.  Colt has installed the barrel to the receiver, and the BCG and charging handle, as well as installing the front sight base and the flash hider.  Charlie's has replaced standard polymer handguards with a new or new old stock Knights Armament RAS.

Note on military products:  Colt and Knights do not use white gloves when handling upper receivers.  Expect minor handling marks, as this receiver and RAS are from the military production line, and the US Army, Navy and Marine Corps does not care about aesthetics.  This is true of most Colt and many Knights Armament products that we assemble and/or sell.  For example, in the picture of the barrel, you will notice a small handling mark.  It is a small scratch, but a little oil will fix it fine.  You might also notice some handling marks on the RAS rail.  It would be too much to call these scratches, but you should expect imperfections.  It adds character to any military correct component, especially new old stock.
