With clients including the US DoD, Canadian armed forces, NATO, and other military and LE agencies around the world, Cadex has built a reputation for cutting edge equipment. Their dedicated staff manufacture the wide range of products in their state-of-the-art 60,000+ square foot facility. This is the pedigree from which their precision rifles come.

The CDX SHP Series

The CDX-R7 SHP Series are precision rifles designed for shooters who prefer a traditional style stock to chassis systems. These rifles feature Cadex’s fully adjustable synthetic stock called the Strike Nuke Evo. The ergonomics of this stock are a great blend between the stability offered by tactical stocks and lightweight hunting stocks. This stock features a built-in aluminum micro-chassis system for improved accuracy. This rifle out of the box will compete with any custom gun.

Known internationally for their competition and sniper rifles, Cadex has not ignored the sportsman looking for lightweight precision. Whether ringing steel or chasing game that resides in the back-country, high country, or wide open country, ounces equal pounds. While many manufacturers will cut weight wherever and however they can, Cadex refuses to sacrifice stability solely to achieve that. Starting from the ground up with their in-house made CNC machined and wire EDM stainless action, these rifles are built with attention to detail at every step. This action houses the 50 degree lift, four lug bolt with radial fluting, slim hunting bolt knob, and a Sako style extractor. A heavy duty recoil lug will help hold things in place over the weapon's service life. A 20 MOA (30 MOA on .338 Lapua) Picatinny rail is affixed with 8-40 screws, stronger than the smaller industry standard 6-48 screws. The rubberized grip insert as well as the oversized trigger guard and magazine release aide in using this rifle with gloved hands or in adverse weather conditions. Finishing off the action is Cadex's DX2 Evo trigger, convertible by the end user between single and double stage as well as adjustable from 1.5-2.5 pounds.

Cadex's Strike Nuke Evo is made of fiberglass reinforced polymer with an aluminum micro-chassis system resulting in a rigid yet light platform and eliminating the need for traditional glass bedding. Repeatability and proper alignment is achieved due to the precision of Cadex CNC machining. An adjustable cheek piece, length of pull, and Cadex logo recoil pad enable a custom fit to the shooter. The grip features a comfortable thumb rest area and ambidextrous palm swells to fill the shooter's hand. A flush QD socket at the back for sling mounting can be paired with an M-Lok mount (not included) placed at the shooter's preference at the front.

For the core of these rifles, Cadex required a superior barrel. The heart of the Sheepdog is a match grade barrel made using a 1.238" straight taper contour. Fluting is used to decrease weight, improve weapon balance, and provide more surface area for cooling. Mil-Spec 5R rifling at an optimized twist rate reduces bullet deformation and aides in easier cleaning than conventional rifling. Things are topped off with a threaded muzzle ready to accept a sound suppressor or the included Cadex muzzle brake.

THIS IS A SERIALIZED FIREARM.  It must ship to a Federal Firearms License holder.  No civilian exceptions.

Buying and shipping through Charlie’s is easy, but there is some information you need to know. Only a federally licensed firearms dealer may receive a firearm or federally regulated serialized item (like a receiver or suppressor). We cannot ship these items directly to you. Please follow these steps to process your transaction:

1)     Check your state laws to make sure the federally regulated item you want to purchase is legal in your state. Your FFL dealer should be able to give you all of the necessary information regarding your state specific laws. But, if we ship to your FFL, and there is a legal issue, we cannot accept a return. So please make sure that you know and follow your local and state laws.

2)     A quick google search will show you what Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealers are in your area. When you are ready to purchase, contact the FFL dealer you would like to use and get their shipping address. During the check-out, put YOUR address in the “billing” section and the FFL DEALER’S address in the “shipping” section. If you don’t know your FFLs address, that’s okay. You can send the information later.

3)     After check out, make sure to contact your FFL dealer to ensure they will receive your shipment for you (most do this for a small fee, but you should always double check).

4)     Have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL to FFL@CharliesCustomClones.com. Charlie’s does not reach to your FFL (MAKE THEM EARN THEIR FEE!!!)

5)     Be patient! In order to ensure we remain compliant with all federal laws, our compliance department is kept separate from our sales and operations team. Please allow a few days for our compliance officer to verify all of your dealer’s documents and ensure all federal laws are being observed. You should hear from our compliance department within 3-4 business days. If not, feel free to reach out for a status update.

That’s it! We try to make this process as simple as possible for our customers, but if you are unfamiliar the process or have any other questions, please visit our How to Buy a Firearm page for more details.

California and New York residents please, click here. The process may be different due to state specific laws.

NOTE: The free shipping option does not apply to full rifles, unless purchased with a riflescope.  If you choose free shipping at check-out, we will bill you for shipping later.
