Sig Sauer TANGO6T 1-6x24 LPVO US Army Tactical SFP CQB scope in FDE with Hellfire M855A1 ret.

The epitome of tactical awesomeness, now available to civilians in the US Army tan

Selected by the U.S. Army for both the Squad Designated Marksman Rifle System and for U.S. Special Forces, the TANGO6T is available in the commercial market. Designed for today’s common MSR/AR and bolt action platforms, this scope is the ideal solution for CQB / mid-range tactical engagements, 3 Gun competitions and hunting. The TANGO6T is complete with our HDX optical system for extreme clarity and low-light performance, HellFire fiber optic and glass-etched illuminated reticles, and first or second focal plane designs.

The Sig Sauer TANGO6T riflescope features a 6x Super-Zoom optical system, first and second focal plane designs, HDX optics, fast focus eyepiece, HellFire fiberoptics, and much more. Nine daylight and two Night Vision (NV) illuminated reticle settings are included with the locking illumination dial. Some guesswork is taken out of mounting with a laser engraved mounting line to align your riflescope to scope rings. All Sig Sauer TANGO6T models also come with a power selector throw ring and is waterproof and fogproof. Selected for fielding by both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Department of Defense for Special Operation Forces, the ruggedized SIG SAUER TANGO6T riflescopes have been tested and evaluated to MIL-SPEC STD810G standards.

During the run-off for the US Army's selection of LPVO, Sig went head to head with other brands, but most notably Vortex, with their Razor HD-3 1-6x Low Power Variable Optic. It turns out the scopes are made in the same factory, and some have noted the internals are the same.  Maybe?  But, if you are building a M4 or Mk18 modern miliatary rifle clone, the Sig Tango 6T is not to be overlooked.  We love the horizonal marking line, like seen in the Leupold Mark 4, for easy setup and leveling in a scope mount.  The FDE or bronze / coyote type look is pretty nice as well.

Optically, the Tango6T has an outstanding BDC style reticle made for the new and improved steel tipped round, the M855A1  Not to be confused with the older green tip, the M188A1 is sometimes called the copper tip, due to its color.  The BDC reticle works nicely with most any 5.56mm and 7.72mm NATO rounds, as trajectory for both is extremely similiar in the first 600 yards, and the Tango 6T is built for targets far closer than 600 yards, so most any ammo will have very similar trajectories - a fact often misunderstood by shooters.

Lenses are protected with a Mil-Spec “oleophobic” coating, which helps prevent oil, gunk and even water from sticking. Abrasion-resistant “LENSHIELD” coatings minimize scratching and other performance-inhibiting damage, and “SPECTRACOAT” anti-reflection coatings maximize light transmission and image purity.

About Sig Sauer

From humble beginnings as a wagon to factory to one of the world’s largest firearms, optics, and ammunition manufacturers; the history of Sig Sauer is rich in innovation and achievement. After winning a contract from the Swiss government in 1864 for their Prelz-Burnand muzzleloading rifles, the Swiss Wagon Factory change its name to Schweizerische Industrie-Gesellschaf, the Swiss Industrial Company, better known as SIG. In 1949 SIG developed the SIG P49, the predecessor to the P210 and continued developing small arms for the Swiss military and police.

Since then the company has changed its name, acquired other firearm manufacturers, and crossed the Atlantic—setting up headquarters in New Hampshire. However, what hasn’t changed is the innovative spirit that has driven SIG SAUER to develop firearms like the SIG516 rifle, MCX rifle, P320 pistol, and P226 pistol. With clients like the Texas Rangers, United States Secret Service, Navy Seals, and dozens of local law enforcement agencies nationwide; SIG SAUER is there When It Counts.
