Black Hills Ammunition
At Charlie's, we don't sell a large variety of ammo. We carry mostly Black Hills ammo because we highly recommend using it, no matter what weapon system you are using. Mk262 Mod1 ammo is about as good as it gets for a 5.56mm rifle
Black Hills makes a lot of the ammo that our military uses. It is quality ammo. It does not fail. These guys are meticulous at what they do.
Black Hills Ammunition worked for years, with first the US Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) and later the U.S. Navy, on a long-term project that resulted in MK 262 Mod 1. The project started out to develop ammo for competitors initially and morphed its way into the magazines of operators. Civilian shooters can buy that exact same round—it just comes in a much prettier box—for improved downrange performance, accuracy, and lethality, right here at Charlie's.

Charlie’s stocks and sells four different varieties of basically the same 77 grain Mk262 Mod1 ammunition, so if we are out of stock of your favorite selection, take a look at the other separately listed and inventoried items:
For each of these selections, if we are out of stock, you should enter your email addressed to be notified when the ammo is in stock. Black Hills Mk262 77 grain ammo is a normally stocked item at Charlie’s. Some other brands of ammo come and go, but Black Hills arrives every month or so. Maybe just not enough at times.
Also, market forces may cause both the availability and the price of ammo to change with more regularity, up and down, than other categories of products that we carry and sell.
