Developed to accept the military grade barrels for the Mk11 and M110 rifles in the SR-25 pattern. These upper receivers will accept barrels made by Potomac Armory and Knights Armament, but the specifications are so tight as most other barrels will not fit. The upper receiver is made to fit the SR-25 and the LMT MWS lower receiver, and LaRue lower receivers. Machined from 7075 military grade aluminum, and with engraved T-markings. This receiver will accept bolts and bolt carrier groups from KAC, LMT and LaRue.
The Mk11 and M110 rifles have been a clone rifle enthusiasts holy grail, and most often, a complete rifle is made from a Knights SR-25 rile, and then outfitted with the correct barrel (no, the barrel that comes with an SR-25 will not work), the correct flash hider, and other parts. So far, the hardest to find have been the upper receiver, barrel and gas block. Potomac Armory has been making the gas block and barrel for some time now, and Potomac will be increasing its production of barrels in Q4 of 2023. The upper receiver has had it starts and stops. Several machine shops have tried to make these for Charlie's and at the end either determined they could not do it, or their machinery could not fit the tolerances needed for a Knights Mk11 or M110 barrel, or fit the KAC or LMT lower. I suppose originally, the Mk11 and M110 rifles were made to such precision, and over time, Knights made changes to the design to a barrier to others attempting to clone their upper, in terms of so many aspects of the upper being non-standard to the AR10 or .308AR products being produced by commercial brands.
So, enter the Summer and Fall of 2023, and we are still in the design phase. We have found a partner who can make these for us at price we feel will be attractive, and also make an 80% matching lower. As we approach the completion of our design and testing, we will accept deposits from those who wish to have the best available and at a reasonable price.
