The M58 flash hider has found its way onto light machine guns, like the FN MAG, which entered service by Swedish armed forces in 1958 (and thus the M58 designation). Now, KAK Industries has recreated the famous flash hider for 5.56mm AR rifles, which at almost 3" is perfect for a 13.7 inch barrel. The flash hider comes with a pinhole on the bottom, ready for a pin and weld job to make your short barrel long enough to be 16". The M58 flash hider also has that M1A / M14 look. The birdcage style flash hider is open on the sides and on top, and closed on the bottom, to both avoid dust blowing up from the ground and to push the muzzle down every so slightly. The pin hole is on the bottom at 6:00.
