This is a tool you need if you do any work on barrels, front sight bases or the upper receiver. It is a block of metal that you put in your vice, and it has holes that align with your upper's pivot pin and take-down pin. You pop the pins in, then the upper is secure to work on. Flip it over, and it fits a big caliber AR frame, such as an SR25, AR10, 308AR, etc.
The assembly block is constructed of hard coat black anodized aluminum with steel retention pins.
This vise block does not work with the new DPMS GII rifle.
We understand, Charlie's Custom Clones is not a tool store; however, we use a tool in our workshop in the production of upper receivers and rifles, and we tend to find something we like and use everyday. When we do, we buy a few extra to offer to our customers. If you are doing similar work on your firearms and components, maybe you could benefit from what we have learned in the shop. We use this tool every day, and PRI makes solid rifle parts and tools. We also like to feature our manufacturing partners and small businesses in the US that are making great tools. Occasionally we will find an import that provides great value, but we try to look for small US-based businesses with innovation in the machining and tool space.
