Charlie's specializes in Mk18 and other military correct components, and here we offer what we call or near-clone Mk18 Mod1 CQBR upper receiver group, complete with Colt and Daniel Defense components, and other military correct parts, to provide you with a great Mk18 upper receiver group at a reasonable price.

At Charlie's, we have a number of Mk18 upper receiver groups.  From military correct, to Daniel Defense commercial upper receiver groups.  We have a good many customers who want the military correct clone uppers, and we offer those.  We also have customers who want the more commercial interpretation that Daniel Defense offers.  This model is right smack in the middle. More "clone correct" than a Daniel Defense factory Mk18 upper, but less intense and less expensive than the military correct versions we offer.  For many, it is a great middle ground, and is priced in between the purist Mk18 military Mod 1 and the Daniel Defense Mk18 factory upper with the Daniel Defense branding on the upper receiver.

All new, unfired (except for testing). Believe me, we have done our honest best to keep the prices down, but when you are looking a quality Colt and DD parts, each item is expensive. At Charlie's, we have deep supplier relationships, including dealer and OEM pricing where we can, but this is an expensive build. And, we have left off a few things and gong light on others to keep the costs down, but good materials and great shooting equipment are not inexpensive.

Charlie's has presented a number of muzzle device options.  We recommend the Surefire 3-Prong SOCOM, if you are interested in suppressed fire.  Otherwise, the Daniel Defense or Knights Armament flash hiders are great as well.  A standard A2 "birdcage" is offered for those who are down to earth, keep is simple folks.  

This is a serious military firearm upper.

• Mil-spec, top tier contracted upper receiver group, forged 7075 aluminum with hard coat military spec anodizing and top engraved T-marks
• Daniel Defense Mk18 RIS-II free floating rail in black.  The FDE is so dark, that we were surprised when we put this together that the black and FDE were pretty darn close.  We added the DD Ergo period-correct FDE ladder rail covers, and it is looking very close to FDE.
• Mil-spec complete bolt carrier group, mil-spec phosphated finish. Note: for effective reliable shooting with a 10.3" barrel, you need a high quality bolt and carrier group, especially if you might be shooting rapid fire or suppressed.
• Mil-spec charging handle
• Colt 10.3” M4 Government profile barrel 1:7 twist 5.56 NATO chamber with 0.07” gas port and carbine gas system.  Colt factory barrel, phosphated chrome-moly steel and chrome-lined.  This is an authentic "Crane style barrel" as we have done as NSWC Crane did in 2001, 2002 and 2003 and used a Colt Government profile barrel, and cut it down to 10.3".  100% authentic, including the A2 FSB pin grooves.  
• Mk12 steel gas block from PRI, high temperature cured and nitided for maximum corrosion resistance.  We followed with PRI's gas block, as it is used in the Mk12 Mod0.  We have dimpled the Colt barrel and inserted the set screws into the dimple marks to keep this gas block from moving, and put in place with red Loctite, as was the same configuration Crane used during the early Global War on Terror for the early Mk18 rifles and upper receiver groups, also called CQBR.
• Mil-spec phosphated and chrome-lined and peened bolt carrier group with 8620 tool steel carrier, and Carpenter 158 steel MPI bolt.  Carpenter 158 steel is considered the best steel for the hard wear that a bolt endures.
• Forged aluminum 7075 mil spec charging handle, hard coat anodized in black.
• Carbine gas system with a Colt stainless steel gas tube.
• Your choice of Surefire flash hiders to meet your needs, budget, and suppressed options.
