Stability matters. In a perfect world, all range trips would have an assortment of tables, platforms, benches, bags, and tripods for every scenario. But we live in the real world. Who hasn't shot over a camping backpack or a cheap sandbag. Can it get the job done? Yes. Is it ideal? Far from it. While purpose made bags and free standing tripods are fantastic, they are not always practical for a given application. A rifle mounted bipod ensures the shooter always has a stable platform at hand.
The Accu-Tac BR-4 G2 bipod is a small, quick-detach bipod made from aircraft aluminum that's designed for bolt action guns, precision, target, competition, and airgun shooting. It has four leg positions, five notch height options, and can cant, with each position locked and secured with an adjustable lever. The BR-4 G2 has a closed position width of 3.25 inches and a closed position length of 7.5 inches.
CNC machined from billet 6061 aluminum in the US, Accu-Tac bipods are widely used in both the work and play sides of the shooting world. The BR-4 model, available in both Picatinny QD and ARCA rail, is perfect for PRS and NRL competition. The quick adjust legs can be locked in both 45 and 90 degree positions combined with five height notches to give options when the environment and terrain just doesn't want to cooperate. The sturdy construction also allows the shooter to load the bipod for added control. To adjust the legs, simply pull out on the feet to reach the desired height. The legs are spring loaded to easily retract in for storage. The feet are interchangeable with spikes available separately. Cant is lockable with a lever.
Make the most out of every shooting position using the solid base provided by an Accu-Tac bipod.
To engage or adjust leg position, simply pull the spring-loaded leg downward to move each leg independently. Leg position can be deployed to 90° or 45°, locking securely into 4 positions. Please keep in mind the cant adjustment lever can be repositioned, DO NOT use a tool to tighten the canting tension.
"Thing is rock solid. Leaned heavy into it, way more than necessary and it didn’t budge. Love the way I can extend and retract the legs with only one hand too." from Eric, April, 2024.
"Great product! Pleasant to the touch, heavy and strong as a tank! Crafted with attention to every detail." From Sliven, February, 2024.
"I have the BR-4 model and it is the only model from them I have experience with, it has worked well for me with no issues. I have run it on guns from an 8 pound 1 ounce unbraked 28 Nosler running very stout loads and with horrible recoil, a 300 WM under 9 pounds that also is nasty to shoot, and 12-14 pound rifles with light to moderate recoil. If the light 28 didn't tear it up I don't know what would, over 100 rounds shot as well, just make sure it's tightened down well." From H. Smith, February, 2022.
