Zeiss LRP S5 5-26 Precision FFP Riflescope in milRAD

.1 MRAD ZF-MRi #16 - the new Zeiss long range alpha scope with a modest Christmas Tree reticle

You have known Zeiss for the best of lenses crafted from Schott glass, and now Zeiss has entered the alpha territory with one of the better long range precision scopes.  Designed for the precision shooter, PRS and bench rest, the Zeiss LRP SS will not disappoint.

The ZEISS LRP S5 525-56 is a first focal plane riflescope with a 34 mm main tube, and provides a massive amount of total elevation travel out-of-the-box, which allows the shooter to engage targets to 1,500 yards | 1,375 meters - and beyond. When used in PRS and NRL type competitions, the riflescope will give you the edge to not just compete - but to win. This model is available in both Milliradian and Minute-of-Angle configurations.

It offers the most popular magnification range for precision rifle competitions, and is an exceptional choice on a variety of rifle platforms.
With a higher magnification setting, the ZEISS LRP S5 5-25x56 model is also ideal for other forms of target shooting, testing ammunition, load development and long-range hunting.

The Zeiss LRP S5 is a high performance, long-range riflescope that comes packed with exclusive features that riflescopes of a lesser quality fail to include. It comes equipped with Zeiss’s Fluoride lens elements and SCHOTT glass which greatly mitigates color dispersion and removes color fringing around the edges to eliminate image blur - this results in a brilliantly vivid image with outstanding color contrast and resolution. The LRP S5’s turrets have also been optimized for long-range accuracy; they feature a larger design for easy operation even when wearing gloves, and produce audible and tactile clicks for precise, repeatable adjustments. The elevation turret is outfitted with Zeiss’s own Ballistic Stop, while the windage turret utilizes a push-to-lock, pull-to-unlock feature – allowing the user to maintain the original zeroing after making adjustments in the field. In addition to its impressive optical and mechanical qualities, the LRP S5 is equipped with the advanced ZF-MRi reticle in the first focal plane. This reticle was designed with input from professional PRS and NRL competitors, and features a precise 0.05 MRAD free floating center dot which sit atop a “Christmas Tree” style primary structure composed of hash-marks, dots and reference numbers. The ZF-MRi’s points-of-aim and hold-over points are displayed as 0.02, 0.05, and 1.0 MRAD increments with numbers included to serve as a fast and intuitive visual reference.

Features of the Zeiss LRP S5 Riflescope:

  • Fluoride lens elements and SCHOTT glass - greatly mitigates color dispersion and eliminates image blur
  • Elevation turret – Ballistic stop
  • Windage turret – push-to-lock, pull-to-unlock locking feature
  • ZF-MRi first focal plane reticle

Best-in-class total elevation travel

A massive total elevation travel of 40.7 MRAD or 140 MOA allows the ZEISS LRP S5 to be more capable than your ammunition – and engage targets up to 1,500 yards and beyond out-of-the-box.

Highly repeatable and tactile turrets

Precise adjustments provide you with absolute assurance of making the most accurate shots possible – regardless of distance

Compact and heavy-duty riflescope

Final validation of the design proves the ZEISS LRP S5 riflescopes withstand multiple shock tests of an enormous 1,500 g-force. Design requirements also include initial shock testing of over 800 impact cycles at 1,000 g-force.

A clear view, whatever the weather

Sooner or later, your shooting time and bad weather will collide. This is why ZEISS developed LotuTec®. A protective exterior lens coating for ZEISS optics that enables a clearer and unhindered view in all weather conditions. It helps to greatly repel rain, snow, dust, and fingerprints, and makes lens cleaning easier.

Daylight visible illuminated reticle

Digitally controlled diffractive reticle illumination technology delivers an exceptionally bright point of aim – regardless of the amount of incoming light – allowing you to confirm precise shot placement on target.

ZEISS T* Coating

ZEISS T* coating is a guarantee of the brilliant, high-contrast images which you will experience above all in adverse light conditions and in the twilight. Behind it, however, there is no specific formula for building up the layers. Instead, it is a technology that is constantly adjusted to suit new glass materials and requirements, which varies from lens to lens.

Your demands for excellent optics at PRS and NRL competitions are met with the all-new LRP S5. Both models utilize a 34 mm main tube, European-style fast-focus eyepiece, Ballistic Stop elevation turret (with 40.7 MRAD or 140 MOA of total elevation travel), and an external locking windage turret.
