Spuhr, now part of the CZ/Colt family, is widely know for producing what might be the best scope mounts available on the market today. The Ideal Scope Mount System (ISMS) is a rethinking of how rings should be made. Spuhr rings are split on a diagonal instead of the traditional horizontal or vertical. What this does, is reduce the profile of the mounts and leave the turrets free from visual obstruction. This patented feature means adjustments are easy and precise. The flat sides minimize the profile and allow for numerous accessory mounting positions using the Spuhr Interface. A bubble level is integrated into the rear ring to help make sure the rifle is level before firing.
These mounts are machined from high grade aluminum billet to retain light weight and strength. The fasteners feature a corrosion resistant coating. A wedge is included that allows the optic to be leveled by aligning the bridge of the mount with the bottom of the erector housing. This mount is suitable for extended Picatinny rails but may be too low for some lens caps.
Note: This mount will not fit the Nightforce BEAST or the US Optics TPAL/EREK. It will fit most other 34mm scope tubes.
