Badger has been designing and manufacturing high quality rings before high precision rings were known to man. Sort of. Before Badger, rings were manufactured in a way that required a fair amount of lapping to assure a good fit. Today, Badger makes these rings from precision CNC tools from a full block, or billet of aluminum, which assures a precision fit.
Alloy rings are made form Aircraft grade Aluminum alloy and Mil Spec Hard coat anodized matte black. They are made on the same pattern as Badger's tried and true steel rings but are almost 50% lighter and strong enough for almost any job.
In the early 1990’s Badger Ordnance identified the need for quality Tactical scope rings and mounts designed to meet the higher demands of the emerging Military and Law Enforcement tactical shooting community. These Badger Scope Rings are machined from 6061 aluminum alloy barstock as serialized matched pairs. This assures that both rings are identical and eliminates the damaging effects of mismatched mass produced rings. All the hardware on the rings are designed by Badger.
These rings are designed to use the Torx screws that hold the scope securely in the rings. Made in USA, not outsourced to foreign countries, where you do not know the level of quality control of the materials or the machining.
The Badger Ordnance 35mm High Scope Rings are optimized for use with current 35mm optics and accommodate precision rifles with mid to heavy barrel profiles. They are machined from 6061 Alloy and Mil-Spec Type III Hardcoat Anodized.
These rings are an excellent option for Leupold Mark 5HD scopes. The low level is ideal for a bolt action rifle and allows the shooter to get the scope closer to the bore, to assure a more accurate shot. The alluminim alloy allows for super lightweight deployment, ideal for those who will carry their rifle into the field, like hunters and tactical shooters.

1) Remove the ring caps, place the rings on the rifle in the location you think you want them,
2) Place the scope in the rings and check for eye relief. A good rule of thumb is to have the rings as far apart as possible for your particular scope.
3) Once the rings are in the correct location, remove scope, push forward and tighten each ring (the 1/2" nut) finger tight, using your 65 INCH-POUND torque wrench tighten each nut. If you use a FOOT-POUND wrench, you will exceed the rating by 1200% BAD!!! If no torque wrench is available, using a 1/2" wrench, turn the nut 90° after finger tight. NO MORE!
4) Place the scope in the rings, put on the cap and install ALL the screws loosley, (do not use Loctite) holding the short end of the T-15 wrench tighten about as tight as you can get it. (holding the short end of the T-15 wrench!) make sure the gaps on both sides of the rings are equal.
