We often get asked what rings or mounts we recommend. There are many choices, and sometimes a large beefy mount is needed, or perhaps a quick-release. But, many times, a basic, proven mount that does not outshine your scope is what you are looking for. Badger is top quality, and at a great price point.
The Badger Ultra High PSR Unimounts are lightweight due to both design and materials. They were designed for the US Army's Precision Sniper Rifle program to fit the Schmidt & Bender 5-25x56 mm Day optic. 1.5" is standard height for an AR type platform, as the Picatinny rail will extend out, and 1.45" is the minimum clearance for a 0 MOA canted mount and a 56mm objective lens. For bolt guns, 1.50" is considered high, as the clearance is not needed for the end of the scope, as the rail is usually only on the receiver. It is all in a name. What's high for you is standard for the next guy.
By removing material without compromising strength and rigidity, the Unimount is an unparalleled scope mounting option. Billet machined from 6061 T6 Aluminum and Mil Spec Type III Hardcoat Anodized.
The Badger PSR Unimount's construction process emphasizes both precision and durability. The 6061 T6 aluminum used in its design is renowned for its strength-to-weight ratio, offering robustness without unnecessary bulk. This material, coupled with the Mil Spec Type III Hardcoat Anodizing, ensures resistance to corrosion and wear, making it ideal for extreme environments. Furthermore, the mount's design includes an integrated recoil lug, which helps to maintain zero even under heavy recoil, a feature critical for maintaining accuracy in high-stakes scenarios. This combination of advanced materials and thoughtful engineering solidifies the mount's reputation as a dependable choice for professional and civilian marksmen alike.
