Perfect replacement for Ops Inc. #12, fits AEM-5. This is for the Mk12 clone build, as well any other great rifle build. This is the longer collar, which will fit the Mod1 and other SPR profiled barrels.
Note: This Collar will NOT fit the Mod0. You will need the short collar for the Mod0.
Ron Allen builds these one by one by hand. He was the engineer that created the Ops Inc. collar and suppressor. Well worth the money for any precision 5.56 mm rifle build. Ron created the collar while working at Ops Inc. This is the exact same collar. If someone wants to argue otherwise, you might find something where a roll pin is .001" in a different spot, but I have not found it.
This is 100% genuine Allen Engineering. There are a lot of companies making knock-off "Ops Inc" collars. Even some rifle manufactures building very nice Mk12 rifles with the wrong brake and collar. If you are not going to run a can, the knock-off or generic Ops Inc might work fine. But for the small price to get the real deal, we do not work with, nor endorse any other manufacturer. The tolerances to get the profile, collar, the threads, all in the right spot to align the suppressor are very tight, and Ron tells us he is seeing baffle strikes on his cans caused by another manufacturer's collar and brake, or a poorly executed SPR profile on the barrel.
Included is the complete kit: Collar, flash hider, thread protector and shim kit.
Some pics show the long and short collar, for comparison.

6 Questions | 6 Answersthe fight is very snug. Snug leads to superior alignment. Sometimes you might even have to file down the roll marks. Tight is good. Also, this is make for Colt and FN and DD barrels. Other barrels might have an issue.
Will this work with the Otter Creek Titanium clone?
Hi i got a colt lightweight thin barrel does this fit or what shall I get? regards from sweden, sincerly Jan-Eric Vestman
will this fit a 20" Colt A2 barrel with standard front sight/gas block? barrel is C MP marked. if not, any suggestions? thanks!
No. For any of the Ops Inc. / Allen Engineering / Otter Creek collars, which are made to accept an AEM5 suppressor, the barrel must be profiled to SPR specifications. A barrel smith can do that for you on a lathe. For other solutions, contact us at sales@charliescustomclones.com
Is this available for order? Just 5.56 or is 6.5 also available? thanks, Mark
Will this fit on a Daniel Defense MK12 upper/barrel?
Guys, I have a Colt M4 16" barrel. Sort of building a modern Gordon carbine. Cutting the barrel down to 12.5" to bring the AEM5 suppressor flush to the front sight post to give it as short of a profile as possible. Which AEM5 collar and adapter will work? The regular or the short collar? Appreciate your help. Ready to purchase, but not sure which to go with.
It will not work. We do have a 12.5" Psusedo Gordon barrel comming available this week, and an authentic suppressor with the true 14.5" barrel next year. The Gordon gun was 14.5", but the shortcut to make it look the part is to use a 12.5" barrel, specially fitted with a collar made for the barrel. What we will lack is the doughnut collar that was used, but we can get you 90% there.
