Lancer Systems has created an enhanced magazine for the M4/AR-15 family of weapons as well as other systems using STANAG pattern magazines. By utilizing a hybrid design with a polymer body mated to steel feed lips, they have achieved a revolutionary level of durability and reliability. The polymer allows for chemical and environmental resistance in a variety of conditions while the steel feed lips resist deformation due to spring pressure. The non-tilt follower and stainless steel spring give reliable feeding and allow for long term storage without loss of performance.
Heavy subsonic .300 Blackout ammunition can cause feeding issues with some magazines on the market. Lancer has engineered this .300 Blackout optimized magazine for these loads, especially the troublesome 200+ grain rounds. The internal dimensions have been updated to allow longer, heavier bullets to stack correctly and feed properly. To help prevent a dangerous misidentification as a 5.56 magazine, the external mold has specific .300 Blackout markings and the floorplate is a contrasting FDE color.
NOTE: Lancer recommends their standard 5.56 magazines for lighter bullets (less than 150 grains) often found in supersonic loadings.
