Once upon a time, Badger made basic and solid USMC rings for the M40 rifle.  Well, Badger still makes those rings, and makes them well.  But, somewhere along the way, Badger created the Condition One, C1 mounting system, and it has caught on.  The modularity is game changing.  Yes, I know, everything is pioneering, game changing and the best thing since...   But, the C1 probably is.  Made in three different heights and a variety of scope tube widths and two colors, the C1 allows the user to configure the mount to his liking, adding RMR style top or side slanted mounts, T1 mounts and a diving board for illumination and rangefinding, this C1 for 30mm scopes is the basic 1.5" height, which is somewhat standard for long range scopes on an AR or fixed Picatinny rail forward tube.

About that TAN anodization:

Badger has made every effort reduce the variation in TAN color across the C1 mount/accessory line.  At Charlie's we see this with every manufacturer.  Tanodizing is hard to get consistent.  Geissele has a hard time at.  HK has a hard time at it.  There are just too many variables.Badger and Charlie's will not accept returns of C1 mounts or accessories because of color issues.  Returns would be subject to restocking fees, etc. and not due to defect.
