AR15 / m4 / Mk12 gas block with 0.75" journal, constructed of steel and then given a black nitride finish. This gas block is the same gas block used by Precision Reflex in their Mk12 Mod H upper receiver groups and Mk12 rifles. It is of superior construciton and the nitride finish inside and out assures the steel will not corrode.
This is 100% factory OEM part. You can use it for your Mk12 or NSW RECCE build, or for any other AR15 or M4 build that requires a low profile gas block. The shape is very similar to other low profile gas blocks like the industry standard Troy and Sadlak gas blocks, but is nitrided, while most low profile gas blocks are phosphated. This gas block is an improvement upon the original Navy Crane spec, which had a much heavier lower section, and was phosphated. At times, the orginial Mk12 design, if not paired with a rail, like the Daniel Defense Mk18 and M4A1 RIS rail, or the Knights Armament Mk12 rail, would at times bang against thinner profile rails. You can expect the same or better performance out of this PRI gas block.
