The Daniel Defense 9.5 FSP Free Float Rail System features a cut in the front of the top rail to accommodate the front sight post and gas block of a carbine length AR15 gas system, while at the same time, providing much needed additional rail space along the sides and bottom rails.

This is a unique unicorn rail.

More rail space means enhanced capability for modern rifle accessories. Indexing pins are constructed from stainless steel, while all other components are 6061-T6 aluminum. The finish is Military Specification Type III Hard Coat Anodized. Every Daniel Defense Rail System is Military Specification 1913 and are 100% Quality Assurance tested for conformity.

Daniel Defense M4 9.5 FSP Carbine Rail DD-1002 is designed to expand the possibilities of your M4 or AR-15 carbine while still giving you access to the traditional iron sights of your weapon. The DD FSP feature an innovative design that removes a portion of the front of the top rail, which allows you to aim with the front sight post, gives you more space along the side and bottom rails, and allows room for the gas block of your rifle. Manufactured from high-quality 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum, the Daniel Defense 9.5 FSP Free Float Rail System allows you to mount almost accessories using standard 1913 Picatinny rails. The free floating design of these handguards dissipates heat quickly and doesn't weigh down on the barrel, preserving your carbine's accuracy. And since the rail system mounts to the barrel nut or upper receiver, the system won't spin when it's weighted down with accessories. NOTE: Installation of this rail requires a wrench that has also been discontinued by DD. Our armorer, Potomac Armory, has one of these wrenches and can assemble your upper receiver group for a small fee. You would just need to purchase, or supply the rail, an M4 upper receiver, an M4 carbine barrel with FSB, and a gas tube.
