Colt M4 mil-spec "waffle" stock
made by P&S Products, marked with CAGE Code 4U486
This is Colt issued, taken off a Colt mil-spec carbine. Colt does not make the most of their stocks, P&S Products does. All Colt rifles with waffle stock are made by P&S. There are other non spec makers of this stock, like Bravo Company, and other commercial firms, who replicate and make something that looks like this, but this is the official stock used by Army, USMC, Seals, etc. Note: I also have Colt replacement stocks (not P&S) for sale on Gunbroker. A little higher price, but really the same stock
P&S Products makes a lot of peripheral parts for Gov't contracts. You would not know the name, unless you are a clone nerd like me. The cage code 4U486 on the stock is for P&S Products. You can Google it. P&S Products also makes hand guards, and quad rails. The RAS rails on the M4A1 Block 1 were sourced by DOD from both KAC (Knights Armament) and P&S. If you are looking for a mil-spec correct clone, you look for Colt or P&S Products for your stock, unless you are looking for SOPMOD, then you look for LMT
for basic AR15, or for mil-spec M4A1 clone build, this is the real deal. This model includes the sling loop at the bottom rear. Nothing but the best at a great price.
a note on small parts at Charlie's
Charlie's uses this part in our rifle and upper assembly, and as such, this is a manufacturing part for us. When we have enough inventory, we also make this available for sale. As is the case with many of our manufacturing parts, we must have these parts in-stock, and try to never run out. With Colt that is hard, as the supply chain sometimes has parts and sometimes does not. If you are shopping for parts, it is very likely that you will find one of two things, and this is true for this genuine Colt part: a) another online retailer has this part for a lower price, and/or b) every other online retailer is out of stock. In trying to make sure we always have stock, it is possible that our price is a little higher for small parts. We understand that, but we also want to have the item in-stock. Make sense? You decide. Our business model is to build and to buy the best assembled tactical products, and along the way also bring you great parts. Please judge us on the whole.
